Fred Coke

I met Fred when we both worked at United Airlines in SFO. We got to be close friends when we both worked in the paint department. Painting airplanes was lots of fun doing it with Fred. We tried flying to Boston to get lobsters for a party. Due to bad weather in Chicago we got diverted to Cleveland for 4 hours. By the time we got to Chicago we couldn’t make our connections. So we flew back to SFO empty handed on the second level of a 747 in first class all to our selves. Flight attendant just left the bottle of booze with us. He and I took a trip to Honolulu with another friend and enjoyed our selves over there. Fred was my go to man for any problems I needed to solve and fix. He did my plumbing and installed the shower in my bathroom in Virginia. He could always be counted on to help anyone out in time of need. He called me the day before Thanksgiving at 5:00 am PST because he knew I was the only on that would up to talk. He was excited about getting discharged and having Thanksgiving with family. We talked several times a week and I’m especially going to miss that. Love and miss you Uncle Fred. Tony
