We enjoyed visiting with Alice and Al in many locations including New Hampshire, Hilton Head, Williamsburg and Pittsburgh. Todd and I loved Al's wit, warmth, kindness and adventurousness. Our kids still remember the pens that Alice and Al helped them make in their basement woodshop. May his memory be a blessing.

We offer our condolences to Alice, his son Michael and the rest of the family. We have fond memories of Uncle Al and Aunt Alice, being at our wedding in the Netherlands in 2009 and his travels in Europe with Aunt Alice and always tried to combine it with a visit to us. Our kids never will forget the trick with the pencil. He was fun and had a great sense of humor. He has been a great friend and travelcompanion for my Aunt and my Mom and we will dearly remember his many visits here. He will be greatly missed on "this side of the pond". I offer my condolences to Alice of course. Also to Michael. Al talked a lot about you and your Mom showing her paintings which he had. Also was very proud of your achievements. My condolences to Leila, and Anna. Also my condolences to Chuck and Stan and their families. And the rest of the family. I know Al enjoyed the trip to China with you Stan. That influenced Alice and Al's trip. I am glad that Alice and Al could visit last summer and that you both could speak to him before he passed. I am sure that meant a lot to him. A warm and big personality who will be greatly missed Sue Wijtvliet-Clay

To Alice and Al's family - our thoughts are with you and you have our sincere condolences. We (Eric and Debby Bashkoff) had the good fortune of traveling to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with Al and Alice which we enjoyed together thoroughly. We would like to share some photos of that trip including one you will notice the group standing at the equator near Quito, Ecuador. We are thankful we had the opportunity to spend this special time with our good friend Al and we will miss him.
