Zahron Hung Mitchell went home to the Lord on 5 October 2020 at the age of 30.

Zahron was born on 24 October 1989 in Hong Kong to Luzia Hung and John Mitchell. As a boy, he excelled in school and sports, swimming and playing tennis competitively for the LRC. He attended the Chinese International School before continuing his studies in Canada, where he attended Upper Canada College. At Upper Canada College, Zahron continued to distinguish himself as a model student and as a member of the Varsity Tennis Team.

Zahron went on to obtain his bachelor's degree from University College London. He completed his master's degree at the University of London before pursuing his career in Hong Kong at Manulife where he went on to achieve success as a Director and Portfolio Manager.

He met his wife, Isabella Rova in Hong Kong in 2013 and the couple, inseparable from the start, were married 5 years later at Hong Kong City Hall on 28 July 2018. They exchanged their vows in a beautiful wedding together with their family and friends in Tuscany on 22 September 2018. On 28 January 2020, they welcomed their son, Arthur Theodore Otto who was always Zahron's pride and joy.

Zahron is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Isabella, his son Arthur, his mother Luzia, his sister Zulia, his father John and all his dear family and friends.

In remembrance of Zahron's life, the family would prefer for any memorial tributes to be made in the form of donations to a charity of your choice in Zahron's name. If you are uncertain of what charity to support, please consider making a donation to charities specializing in blood donation and collection.

It is extremely difficult for me to comprehend Zahron’s untimely and tragic passing, and I extend my deepest condolences to his Isabella, Arthur, Luzia, John, Zulia, family members and friends. I am devastated. While we hurt from his loss, I’d like to share a few reflections on this ultra great guy whom we all miss tremendously. Zahron was a most welcome addition to the varsity tennis team as the youngest player (grade 8) to ever make UCC’s very competitive senior team. Blessed with immense talent and potential, this lanky kid with large feet and a rare one-handed backhand embraced the hard working, team-building camaraderie of the group and soon became a favourite teammate to all. Over his five years on the team, Z injected his typical dry and often poker face humour at practices and matches which made his teammates embrace him even more. Apart from tennis, Z and I talked often about many aspects of life and those conversations extended into a friendship throughout his university years and beyond. Two regrets stand out for me. One, not being able to see him and meet the love of his life Isabella, when they came to Toronto a few years ago and not being able to attend his wedding in Tuscany. Zahron will live on in our memories and that mischievous smile that others were never sure what it meant, will forever warm our hearts. You are sorely missed. Until we meet again my friend, Rest In Peace. Derek Poon, UCC varsity tennis coach

I played tennis with Zahron at a very young age. Always incredibly kind and gracious. Really saddened he’s left us and I wish his family all the support the world can offer. My sincere condolences.

Hey bud, Been a while so just wanted to check in with you. I know you've been watching over us, so you're pretty caught up but feels good to write to you on here from time to time. Big news, your boy Clark finally pulled the trigger and tied Stephanie down. We celebrated their wedding signing on April 28th. Your mom joined for dinner afterwards and we shared some good stories. Felt like you were there and could feel you judging my outfit choice, my weight, Clark's tux haha miss your sly little smile and remarks. Rhodes actually mentioned your name a few times that day. She misses you too man. Your Godson and my Godson are together in the US, they've been staying with Jeannie for a while now, and they're enjoying themselves. Drake and Pierce are getting super tall. They're so smart and so big now, so grown up. Clarky is gonna be leaving HK soon. So, seems like I'm the last one standing from our Delilah days in Sai Ying Pun. We'll probably leave HK eventually, but doesn't seem like it will happen in next 5 years. Saw a video of Arthur playing on trampolines and he walks around just like you with his little butt out. He's so coordinated, so nimble and so strong. He is very confident just like his mom and his dad. I love his curiosity and his confidence! Hope to see him soon, Isabella mentioned maybe Portugal!! Rebecca and I are doing fine man. Becca's been busy plugging away at work. You know how she is, very focused and driven when it comes to work. For me, I'm just working away too man. Contract negotiations, tenancy re-negotiations, doing our best to cut costs, look for new opportunities. Been busy, covid restrictions are starting to lax a bit which is good for everybody's mental well being. HK is slow to getting vaccinated though which means a much slower return to normalcy. Hoping the vaccination program picks up and people are more willing to get the jab for the greater good of the community. Miss your investment advice haha could really use some tips from you right now. Finally got my US account set up and that's been a bright spot for me. HK market has been tough, so just hanging on for now. Went for dinner with Big E and Derek from Manulife the other day, had all you can eat ribs. Could have used you there as you are probably one of the few people in HK who could keep up with us in food consumption. Miss you dearly old friend. Hope you're doing well in Heaven. Please send my best wishes to Wookey. I'm sure you guys are doing well up there together. When he passed, you said "It's always the best ones". Hate to admit that you're right. It really is "always the best ones ones". Take care man. Update you again soon brother.

Z - I still can't believe it to be honest. I often find myself looking at your photos, and when I do - I hear your voice, I hear your laugh. I can still see your goofy expressions and your over the top actions. This is all still very surreal. It feels like I can still call you, or message you and you'd reply. It feels as if you're back in Sweden or travelling somewhere and will be back to say whatsup in a couple of weeks. I know that you're still around, watching us. So, I'm going to do my best to make you proud man. There are so many things between us that are left unsaid, so many things I wish I had told you when I had the chance. We could go months without talking, we would often disagree, we would often dislike each other or be judgemental of each other haha you know exactly what I mean. But we always loved each other and you always had my back no matter what. I miss picking your brain about stocks, chatting about random trivial things, weekend gatherings, monthly life updates. I miss our relationship, how we gave each other shit. I miss joking with you about things that don't matter. I miss how we always held each other accountable for things too man. I've been happily spending time with your family bro. Your friends, they're all all here for your Isabella, your baby boy Arthur, your mom, your sister and your dad. It ain't the same without you, and yet you're always going to be here with us. Arthur's getting big bro, he can practically walk now. He looks like you, especially when he dances lol I'll be writing to you periodically here, you'll probably find it annoying, but I've always found ways to annoy you so, why change that now? I miss you tonnes man. Thanks for everything you did for me, thanks for being a good friend to Becca too man, for real. You always went out of your way to chat with her about her work and to see how things were going. Thanks for all the memories and the nights out that we can't remember. Miss you guy. Chat soon.

I was fortunate to know Zahron during our time together at UCC. I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing. I remember Zahron as an upstanding individual, and I fondly recall his kindness, ever-positive disposition, and his ability to lift the spirits of those around him. I’d like to express my most sincere condolences to Zharon’s friends and family. Taylor DeCelles
