William "Bill" Richard Marsh
24 de septiembre de 1930 - 2 de diciembre de 2023
24 de septiembre de 1930 - 2 de diciembre de 2023
Bill was born in Quanah, TX in 1930 to Dewey and Augusta Marsh. The family lived in a number of Texas communities, and he graduated high school in Houston. Bill served honorably in the USAF during the Korean War. He moved to New Mexico where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Dorene.
Bill worked for the NM State Police and later for LANL where he held a high-level security clearance and worked in several departments. He enjoyed building and repairing things and was wonderfully skilled at both. In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending time with family. He expressed gratitude to the Los Alamos community, and all who took good care of him, especially his incredible caretaker, Anna Apodaca.
He was preceded in death by his son William Marsh II, his parents Dewey and Augusta, and his brothers Dewey Jr and Keith and Keith’s wife, Betty.
Bill is survived by his wife Dorene, his daughter ZeeAnn, grandchildren Nikita Kane, Zachary Kane (wife Liz), Paul Marsh, and Jacob Marsh. He is also survived by his great-grandson Deacon Kane.
Please feel encouraged to share stories of Bill’s life, photographs, and condolences for the family to cherish.

Doreen I'am glad that Danny and I were able to meet you and Bill when we first moved into the neighborhood. Bill was a great guy . He always had a treat for our two dogs. I had last talked with him not to long ago. Always loved to talk with him . A great guy.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's death. I cherish the phone conversations that we had over the past few years. He was always so kind.

Hi ZeeAnn, I never got to meet your father but my mom Anna talked so much about him and you, Bill was such a huge part of her life and he will be missed dearly. I find my mom always bringing up Bill in conversation so his memory and silly ways will live on with us for many years, thank you for being so wonderful to my mom.

ZeeAnn Your dad will sorely be missed. Your mom and I went to many DAR events and our standing joke was to ask your dad what kind of weather we would have because he was always wrong
