Truus Wolff
Oh, what a smile! Truus (Trudy) Wolff's smile could light up a room. She was such a kind-hearted woman, in spite of so much adversity and change. She was a dedicated grandmother and a stand-in grandmother for anyone who needed it. She was everyone's Oma.
Truus was born in Depok, Indonesia. She was raised by a single mother as her dad was struck by lightning while sitting on their front porch. During WWII, she was interned in a concentration camp. In her early twenties, Truus met a local Dutchman, George Wolff, whom she married. They had two daughters, Cissy and Joyce. Political unrest forced the family to move to the Netherlands where their son Peter was born. The family then emigrated to the United States in 1961, where she had her last daughter, Helen. Truus had lived on three different continents before she was 30.
She spent a large portion of her time raising her four children in Pomona, California. Truus enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to church, and her grandchildren. In her later years, Truus moved to Utah, where she enjoyed bingo and flower arranging.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wolff, and her daughter, Joyce Wolff Womack. She is survived by her daughters Cissy Wolff (Ron), Helen Wolff Newland (Ray), and son Peter Wolff, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews across four different continents.

Cissy, Helen, Peter, and family: My deepest condolences on the passing of your sweet Mother. Trudy & Joyce became good friends of my family in the ‘70s when my Dad was Pastor of Foothill Baptist Church in Claremont, CA where they attended. Trudy & my Mom kept in contact all these years & she was such a sweet blessing. I think of the wonderful reunion your Mom & Joyce are having in heaven. May the Lord comfort you during this time.
