Toni Schlinkmeier
July 18th, 1951 - February 2nd, 2022
July 18th, 1951 - February 2nd, 2022
Tonia Suzette Schlinkmeier was born in 1951 and raised in Portland. She graduated from Grant High School in 1968. She began changing rules and how people think when she became one of the first female UPS truck drivers. Toni always had an impact on those she met. This includes the time she worked with Central City Concern starting in 2005 until she retired in 2018. Toni loved life! This includes traveling to places such as Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida, riding motorcycles, crossword puzzles and her fur babies. As of this January she celebrated 35 years of sobriety and was an inspiration to countless others. Toni was a cherished sister to many. Toni had an unending love for those that called her "Aunt Tone" and "NeNe". It is heartbreaking that our entertaining, feisty, strong and loving Toni has passed. She was hospitalized Sunday and lost her battle with some complex medical events early Wednesday. She was surrounded by family and friends when she passed. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
There will be a celebration of the life for Toni Schlinkmeier on Saturday, February 19th. The gathering will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3:00pm-5:00pm.
