Our dear friend and colleague, Sally
We are here to mourn and remember the life of our dear friend and colleague, Sally (Hairong) Zhao.
Born in the city of Xi’ning, Sally’s journey was full of dedication, kindness, and remarkable skills. She pursued her university education in Yichang and built a meaningful life and career there and in Xiamen, before bringing her considerable talents to GE on May 12, 2008.
For over seventeen years, Sally was a cornerstone of the electrical team. She was an immensely experienced and respected engineer, whose expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence earned her the deep admiration of everyone who worked with her. Sally was a genuinely nice, patient, and kind person. Her warm presence could lighten the mood of any room, and her collaborative spirit made her a joy to work with. She was not only a valued colleague to our local team but also a cherished and reliable partner to our global team, building bridges with her professionalism and graciousness.
While we feel a profound sense of loss, we also feel immense gratitude for having known her. Sally’s legacy is one of quiet strength, intellectual curiosity, and profound kindness. She touched our lives deeply, and she will be dearly missed by all.
She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but also a beautiful memory that will never fade.
May she rest in peace.

I was completely shocked and lost for words when was informed about this incident. It was emotional. Flashbacks of our face-to-face meeting in KL years back could not stop playing in my mind. I truly appreciate the warmth and collaborative engagements with you. Indeed, you were an amazing team member. It's a pity that I could not find our post-GSO meeting selfie photo. But surely, you will always be remembered. Thank you, Sally for being such a remarkable and admirable person to me.
