Ron Schmidt

Richard and I met Ron and Gail during our very first cruise to Alaska. The wonder of Alaska and getting to know both of them have made the best of memories. Since that time our good fortune in knowing them has blossomed. They covertly arranged to surprise us on another cruise to the Panama Canal...and what a grand vacation that was! We kicked up our heels at their wedding in Key West and have some pretty great stories as a result. Our days of wonder and joy have been expanded through their friendship. We have experienced music venues and private concerts. Retold the accordion jokes Ron was so pleased with and many other joke 'groaners' as well. Something Ron and Richard excelled at and amused Gail and I with lame joke duels. So many good times. Along with a host of others, ours lives were enriched by Ron's zest for living and his unique ways of thinking about so many things. Ron was such a gentleman and a gentle man. Our condolences to his beloved family and his best friend Gail. We will miss him more than any words I have can express. Karen and Richard Martin
