I’ve been reading through the tributes left here since your mom’s passing and it is indeed a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman . I remember first meeting your mom at Dixson . She was kind and patient . Over the years as our friendship grew I had the pleasure of seeing your mom at sporting events, your family events and various other social gatherings. She was warm and nurturing and always asking how my children , my mom and my family were. Any time she made her famous coffee crumb cake she would always make sure we left with some for my mother . Most recently I would often see your mom at Dunkin . I loved our unplanned but somewhat regular meetups . She always greeted with a smile and took the time to chat and catch up . She would beam with pride about your boys and how well they were doing . What an awesome grandmother she was ! Your mom passed the day our family celebrated my mom’s 91st birthday. It reminded me how important our mothers are to us and what a gap they leave when they pass. My love , thoughts and prayers are with you all . I felt your pain and loss . We never know how long we have our parents or any loved one . I hope this tribute page brings you peace in knowing how loved and what an impact your mom made on others . She is loved and will be missed but not forgotten….. in our hearts for always xoxo

I was thinking about your mom when I remembered, fondly, my baking lesson with her. I had been mentioning to her how much I’d like to bake with her when she spotted me in the parking lot and said “ok how about next week?” She showed up with all the ingredients separated in plastic bags, and the Sam’s club receipt. She proceeded to instruct me very thoroughly, right down to the smallest detail. I remember the carrot cake was absolutely delicious. I’m going to really miss her and remember that day always.

Always a smiling face when I came to work. As a contract therapist that was not always the case for me to be welcomed so graciously. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

Mrs Watson was such a force of a woman! She had such a creative and inspirational mind. I will always remember her telling me how to make a bulletin board straighter or a drama club costume better. Her love came through in her baking and cooking. Of course THE crumb cake, but I also loved her carrot cake and she knew that and surprised me with it on my birthday. I’ll think of her every time I make her peach sangria recipe that she so graciously shared. I loved seeing her love for her family. She will absolutely be missed.

I moved to New York in 1986. (Let's go Mets!!). That was the summer before 5th grade. To this day, I'm not sure how I got invited to Kerry's birthday party the following year, but I was. And to this day, I will ALWAYS remember the look on Mrs. Watson's face when I ran straight through the screen door at that party. I will always remember Ms. Watson getting me soft chicken tacos for lunch during Passover. I will always remember the resonance of her voice...so soft bypassed any other noise or sound or whistle or cheer that interfered. I will always remember her as a fixture of my school years, and I can't imagine the stands or bleachers or dinner tables or picnic benches or any event where her children and their friends might be, without her. Dear Kerry and Drew, I am so sorry for your loss. I love you guys, and I loved your mom. Her memory is such a blessing, and I am so grateful for all who she is. Please share my deepest sympathies with your amazing children.
