Hi, this is one of Owen's siblings, Lucy.
He passed away November 1st from a motorcycle accident in Block Island.

11/8 update: We will be holding a funeral service for Owen this Wednesday, November 10 at 1pm at St. Andrews Parish Center at 1pm on Block Island. Please join us as we remember this exceptional young man. An open reception will follow at The Pink House, 802 Mohegan Trail.
11/15 update: There currently aren't any plans for gatherings in VA. The family isn't in a place to arrange, or likely even attend, anything more. Still, friends and loved ones of Owen have reached out to express that they would like to gather and share their grieving. He was an incredible person who touched so many people, and it's been humbling to witness that from folks he hasn't seen in years.
If you would like to volunteer to organize a small, all-ages social gathering or volunteer activity in VA, please email me at photosforOwen@gmail.com and I can spread the news of your plans to others in VA who have reached out. There is definitely a craving for it in the community of people who passed through Owen's orbit. You're not alone in your grief.

I miss you so much Owen. You were like a brother to me throughout college and our time in Copenhagen, New York and Mexico. Always there for each other - in good times and in bad. Your infectiously positive energy, your love for life and adventure, your entrepreneurial spirit - all of that is tremendously missed. Sending you a big hug, and hope you rest in peace brother.

I met Owen at UVA - I can't remember where we initially met, but I remember running into him not long after outside of the library and he said he was heading to go get frozen yogurt and asked if I wanted to join him. I was a little hesitant because I didn't know him well but I'm so glad I did because he turned out to be such a kind, funny, outgoing, and happy friend of mine. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I had not talked to him in quite a while, but he was the type of person that you could have run into and caught up like no time had passed. I found a few photos of us being silly at a UVA football game, and this one is him pretending to be mad about our team getting a first down - I can't remember where this joke came from but know our whole group was laughing so hard about it that day. Owen was such a bright and kind person, and made a big impression on me during my time in college. My deepest condolences to his family.

Hi, I'm Adam Marcel. I met Owen towards the later part of my first work season on Block Island in 2016. What a spice for life Owen had lol. He was inspired, intelligent, and beloved by many. It was shocking to hear we lost another amazing gentleman. You will always be thought of. See you on the other side Owen❤

I am so sorry to hear this awful news. My mind was immediately transported back to middle school, playing games at your house (probably Mario Kart) and Owen running around behind us.
