NELSON E. HORN 3/9/1944 - 4/16/2023 Nelson Horn, a man who exemplified dignity, grace, integrity, and courage, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, after protracted illnesses. Despite his health struggles, Nelson lived his life with an unwavering determination and the heart of a lion, which he developed during his upbringing in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he grew up alongside his sisters Gretchen and Ruthann. After obtaining a BS and MBA from the University of Massachusetts and Illinois Benedictine, respectively, Nelson pursued several specialized leadership and professional courses throughout his career in the Power Industry, where he held various positions, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ABB Environmental Systems. He was married to his high school classmate and wife of 57 years, Judy, and they had two children, Ethan and Meredith (deceased), He left behind two grandchildren, Abby and Cayden whom Nelson adored, their parents Ethan and Becky and many nieces and nephews. Throughout their careers, Nelson and family had the privilege of living in several states: MA, CT, OH, IL, CA, AL, and VA. Following their retirement, they became realtors in Palm Desert, CA, and surrounding cities, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Although Nelson is no longer with us, his family and those who had the good fortune of knowing him will always remember the indelible mark he left. His family takes solace in knowing that he is now free from pain and reunited with his daughter, Meredith, and other loved ones who have passed away before him. As Judy put it, "All people die, but not all people live and love," and Nelson truly lived and loved.
