Nadine Karen Held

Nadine Karen Powell was born on Wednesday, August 13th, 1952, in London, Ontario, to James Clayton Powell and Gladys Helm (later Glenda). She was the elder sister to Wesley James Powell who predeceased her in 1976 in Kabul, Afghanistan under unfortunate circumstances. Nadine was a happy and loving child who loved horses, camping, fishing, visiting her grandmother in BC, and later became known for her excellent baking. Pie crust, chocolate chip cookies, lemon loaf with a crunchy lemon sugar topping, cheese tea biscuits, and of course her whipped shortbread will all be missed. Fate decided that on June 17th, 2022, Nadine would join her parents and her brother in the realm of the dearly departed. While it was unexpected to those who knew her, we can gather solace from the knowledge that she passed away quickly and gently in her own home with her beloved dogs Morgan, Ava, and Sophie most likely by her side.
