Mona Kay Sams

Mona K. Sams, 65 of Parkersburg, died peacefully on Oct. 16th, 2021 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wood county to, and preceded in death by, her parents Nolan Duane Sams and Ruby Francis Miller. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Dale Sams; one sister, Margaret Sams Brown; and one grand daughter, Codie Ann Sams. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting, and fishing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, and her good friend Wendy Tuck. Surviving are two sons Larry (Freda) Sams, and Robert Sams; one daughter, Ruby (Timothy) Flanagan; one sister, Lora Smith Miller; 9 grandchildren, Justin Flanagan, Jeremy Flanagan, Adam Sams, Anslie Sams, John Miller, Kayla Beasley, Mariah Sams, Teri Sams, Skylar Sams; 3 great grandchildren, Arabelle Flanagan, Gabriel Tewksbury, and Journi Carpenter. Per her request there will be no funeral but a small memorial service will be held at her home 1208 Laird Avenue Parkersburg WV 26101 on October, 29th 2021 from 2-5 pm All friends and family are Welcome!
