Our hearts go out to you, Sandi, and to the whole family. We are so very sorry for your loss. To us, Larry was an inspiring person. We not only liked being around him -- how could you not? -- but we respected him for the selfless way he lived his life, for his patriotism and for his kindness. You both were so wonderful to us after we arrived in Caracas. Larry would frequently call to see if we needed a ride to the market or if he could show us around town. We have tried to learn from that kindness and reach out to others as you both have done for us. We're in Turkey now, and we're sorry that we are unable to be there for you at this trying time, but please know that you are in our prayers, and that we will miss Larry very much. -- Aaron & Rebecca

What a fine man, courageous soldier and great friend. He will be missed by those of us who were fortunate enough to have his friendship and to have shared his tequila collection. Larry was always greatly respected and well loved by those who knew him. Our sorrow and thoughts are with Sandi at this terrible time. John and Sherry

Occasionally someone comes into our lives and remains forever in our thoughts and hearts, Larry is one of these people in my life. From the time I met him in Guatemala as a young boy, i have looked up to him as and admired him for all his compassion and also his comical side. We will miss him. God bless.
