The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Karen was the love of my life. She was beautiful, inside and out. She was fun to be with and talk to and adventure with. She was soft and gentle, loud and enthusiastic. Karen was creative, artistic, imaginative. Whatever she touched, a room, a drawing, a person’s heart, my heart, was always left better because of her. She was fragile and afraid sometimes, but she was one of the strongest women I knew, and I loved her for all of this.
Karen was a mother of three beautiful daughters, whom she loved deeply. She was a grandmother to three wonderful children who possessed her heart. She was my wife and she gave me her all, even when I didn’t deserve it. She took care of us, made our house a home, gave special meaning to our family, and helped to anchor us.
She was a friend and sister to many and loved to laugh and have fun. She touched many people's hearts, and I think her heart was equally touched by all she knew and loved. They were a part of her story.
Most of all, Karen was a child of God. She loved the LORD with all her heart and was fully surrendered to Him in everything she did and was. She went to places she would never of had the courage to face and served others, inspite of her fear, because of Him. She lived in homes that were barely that and embraced the mission God had placed in her heart. She worked hard for what she believed in and passionately supported and fought for human rights and against suffering and injustice.
Karen, my heart breaks at your passing. I miss you more than I can stand, and I will love you forever!

Hi baby. It's been a year, more or less. It is the first of as many years as I have left here, before I come and join you. I look forward to the day when I get to see you again, face to face. And I will, when the archangel sounds the trumpet and Christ descends from the clouds. We will rise to meet Him in the air and be with Him together forever. Until then I wait. I miss you more than I could ever express and I love you with all my heart....

I was once married to a beautiful woman who captivated my heart. I never felt worthy of her love, as though she was a princess and I just a commoner. That led to some issues in our marriage, but these no longer matter. Turns out she was a princess, and that she loved me, even as I was. She's gone now and I find it difficult to reconcile her no longer being here. But, I was once married to a beautiful woman... I love you Karen!

Hi. Thinking about you tonight. Wondering how long the road is ahead before it veers back across your path. I can only see so far ahead. God ilumins just a few steps before the shadows close in. My trust is with him that I will see you once more. to gaze into your beautiful brown eyes and know that time can no longer separate us. We are destined for eternity together. So I wait, I walk ahead alone for now. Life is mostly about waiting, but after the wait comes the reward. You are what I am waiting for now. My journey is ever forward in your direction. The waiting is hard! I love you baby!

Hi baby. It's been 9 months now since your passing and I can say that not a day has gone by that I didn't think of you or talk to you. I miss you more now than ever. They say that in time the grief will deminish and I will learn to walk through life without you by my side. I don't believe them. I'm not the same man I was before, now without you. I'm not the same and I never will be again. I'm having to figure out what life looks like, and I can tell you I hate it. I hate not having you around. Not being able to be with you, talk with you, hold you. I will not forget you and what you meant to me and what you did for me, and how much you loved me and I loved you. You live in my heart. You live in and through your daughters. Your essence is all around me in our house, in the pictures and letters and decorations. But the home is just a house now without you. The hopes and dreams we shared together lay broken all around me and lifeless. I'm not sure what to do with it all. Knowing that in this life I will never see you or hear you or know your thoughts again, ever. It's almost too much to bear! But saying all this doesn't change a thing, and it doesn't go away simply because I don't like it, and tomorrow when I get up in the morning, you'll still be gone. It is relentless! I love you! I miss you! I can't say good bye! It's just good night, and I'll see you soon!

Well baby, it's been six months. A sad milestone to reach. We all miss you very much and wish you were still with us. As we celebrate resurrection day today, I know that you too will experience the mircacle of resurrection, as will we all. I can't wait to see you again on that wonderful day! Counting the days... Love you very much!
