Obituary:

VAN WAES, JULIA, “Polly”, she named herself at the age of 3, after her sister Mary read her a nursery rhyme, Polly put the kettle on and we'll all have tea. She was Polly for the rest of her life. 

Age of 89, of Plymouth, MN.  Polly went to heaven on Thursday, May 21st, 2020 after long battle with Dementia and then Covid 19.

Loving wife, mother, step mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin T. Bryant  in 1973 and their son, Bruce Bryant in 2004. her brother, Bill Smith; and step daughter, Cindy Fields;

Parents,  Walter and Daisy (Mullins) Smith of Blanche, TN.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Edward Van Waes; and her Son: Keith Bryant (Pam) and their children Ashley Jones (Andre)

Craig Bryant (Megan) 

Polly's Daughter: Julia Bryant Loftus (Bob) and their children Hailey and Corey. 

Paula Bryant, sons Justin (Joy) & their son Bruce.

4 great grandchildren, Jaren, Caleb, Remy & Riley. 3 step children, Bruce, Gregg and Mark Van Waes;         

Polly's sisters, Mary McFarland & Faye Foster; many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Born in Blanche, Tn (Kelly’s Creek), Lived in Louisville, Ky with her husband Marvin Bryant and children;  Polly and her husband Ed shared time in both Plymouth, MN. & Ft. Myers, Fl.

She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Polly’s life will take place at a later date due Covid 19- Corona virus. 

A committal and prayer service was held on September 2, 2020 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
