John "Jake" Jacobson

John Paul (Jake) Jacobson, 84, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on August 26, after a short illness at Grace Hospital. 

 

Jake was born in Flin Flon, MB to Victor and Margaret Jacobson, and was a musician, photographer, teacher and artist. He taught photography at Crocus Plains Regional High School and was known for his musical and creative talents as well as being kind and funny. 

 

Jake is survived by his sister Norma, sister-in-law Christine, his daughters Melody, Astrid, Joanna and Victoria, as well as a loving extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Thor and his daughter Kirsten. 

 

A celebration of life will be held on September 27 at the Eastern Star Chalet, 525 Cathcart

Street, Winnipeg, from 1pm to 3 pm. We will share memories of a man who strove for beauty,

peace, and understanding, and who always enjoyed a good song or conversation.
