It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Eileen Olsen, 33, of Traverse City, Michigan. While she left this world too soon on Sunday December 8th, 2019, her presence remains in the hearts of many. She was a beautiful soul who had so much love to give. She left a mark in the life every person she crossed paths with. She will be remembered for her talent and creativity in her culinary work, her artistic adventures and her love of travel and her loving spirit. Seldom does one person touch so many lives, and even more seldom does one person do so with the genuine love, kindness and grace that Jehni did. She had so much to give, and so much to share. The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind. She will live on in the hearts of those that remain. She is survived by her father Ken, her mother Sue Zerbel-Olsen, and her brother Erik. As well as countless friends and loved ones from her vibrant life. Jehni, you are missed daily and every day, you are that special person which meant to us more than anything else in the world.

More than 4500 views! I'm not surprised. You touched so many people. Probably more than you ever knew my sweet Jehni♥️ Last time we talked you were just checking in. Hoping the kids had a great Halloween. You gave the best hugs! The best laughs, the best sass. I missed you from miles apart, but I miss you even more now my sweet, sweet Jehni O. One of the sweetest souls I know! And so blessed to be a part of your life❤️

My heart is so shattered to hear about our Jehni. She was one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, I have ever met. She was so extremely loving, caring, creative... one of a kind. Her creativity was inspiring. Through high school, culinary school, her tours of Seattle... some of the best memories of my life. My prayers are heavy for Jehni's family, and the countless friends who are hurting. I only hope you can find some comfort in knowing the amount of love this girl expressed, in everything she did, had already surpassed what most people can't even give in a lifetime. I love you Jehni. I am so thankful I had you in my life.

I am heartbroken to hear about the loss of sweet Jehni. Though we lost touch as we grew older, she was always in my corner, and always there cheering on life's milestones. She was loved by so many and will be missed so much. My deepest sympathy to her family and all of her friends.

Oh Jehn Jehn, this one hurts so bad. I've known you since we were four years old. You were the first crush of my adolescence. I still remember chatting on AIM and swapping MP3s into the evening in Junior High. You let this awkward, nerdy boy that asked you out down with such grace and class because that's the type of person you were. Our friendship continued on into adulthood, checking in like you did just a few weeks ago. I was always so proud to see the cool, artistic friend I knew grow into an accomplished chef and baker who lived her life to the fullest. I will not soon forget your calming voice and giggle. You touched so many people in this world and my heart goes out to all of them. You were a real one Jehn Jehn, I love and miss you already.

My heart was shattered with the news of Jehni's passing 💔 We just spoke a couple weeks ago... in her typical big hearted fashion she had written me just to say how much she loved me ❤️ I met Jehni in 5th grade at my brothers bus stop & from there we ended up being life long friends. Jehni was one of the very few people who supported me & stayed friends with me during my pregnancy when I was young and I'll never forget the big role she played in my wedding from being part of my wedding party to making me the most delicious & beautiful wedding cake. Her pastry skills were out of this world. Although miles separated us, we always stayed in touch. I will so very much miss her random love filled messages. There are very few people I can honestly say are solid, gold hearted humans. Jehni was one of them. Jehni touched the lives of every person she met. The world is a little less bright without her. My heart goes out to her family and other friends. Fly high my sweet friend ✨ I love you always 💗

Jehni was one of the kindest people I've ever known. You just wanted to be around her. Thank you Jehni for many sweet memories, and in recent years for answering my frantic last minute baking questions. You were right, it all turned out okay.
