June 18th, 1960 - July 16th, 2022
James Kaye Wallace (Jamie), 62, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 after a long, hard battle with lung cancer.
James was born on June 18, 1960, in Pontiac, Michigan. He Graduated from Rochester High School in 1978 and married his high school sweetheart in 1980. He earned a degree in 1999 from Oakland community college to operate heavy machinery. James was a great family man and took great pride in caring for his family. He worked very hard to provide a good life for his wife and children.
He loved spending time on the water fishing and water skiing. One of our fondest memories and past times growing up was spending all night out on a dock fishing for sturgeon and catfish. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, casinos, travelling to pow-wows with his church family and spending time with both his children and grandchildren.
He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Ichetucknee Springs Octobter 6th, 2013.
James is survived by his wife Maxine Wallace (DeCocco) and 3 children, Jennifer Lynn Fabian (Wallace), Amber Jo Wallace and James Kaye Wallace Jr. He is also survived by his brother Charles Wallace and 2 sisters Olive Hadley (Wallace) and Karen (Jim) Panoff. James had 15 Grand Children.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Broken Lance Native American Church. (Date to be determined. Gofundme page will be updated with service info) The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
