We lost our beloved James far too soon, and the weight of his absence is felt deeply by everyone who knew him. If you knew James, you know he was never one to live life halfway. He dove headfirst into every new experience, whether it was a recipe, a road trip, an emotion, or a dream of building a quiet life off-grid: James was all in.

He had a poet’s soul, a musician’s heart, and a listener’s gift. James made people feel seen in a way few can: genuinely, without judgment, and always curious about the thoughts and feelings you might be afraid to share with anyone else. He loved big and encouraged everyone around him to dream even bigger.

He created space for people to simply be themselves and to feel loved in that space. Whether through his thoughtful questions, his humor, or his unmatched ability to read the room, James often made people feel comfortable, appreciated, and understood.
