James Michael Antonetti
September 5th, 1959 - March 8th, 2024
September 5th, 1959 - March 8th, 2024
James Michael Antonetti sadly passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the VA Medical Center, Lake Nona, FL. He was 64. Born on September 5, 1959 in Valhalla, NY. Jim grew up in Greenwich, CT and then went on to serve in the US Army and Navy. Upon his return from the Army, Jim would eventually settle in Stamford, CT where he would raise his 3 children over next 34 years. In December of 2021, Jim retired and moved to Kissimmee, FL with his partner, Dee and his brother and sister-in-law Danny and Patty.
Jim was most happy being surrounded by family and watching any NY sports teams. He enjoyed a home cooked meal or going out to eat with his friends and family. Prior to moving to FL, he would often call his kids on Sunday mornings to ask which diner they wanted to meet at for breakfast and if they couldn’t do breakfast, then he would ask about the next meal. You always knew Jim was in the room because of his loud presence. Silence definitely made him uncomfortable, especially, if it was an emotional moment. Known for his corny dad jokes, they never went unsaid. Despite his health issues over the last few years and trying to beat 3 cancers at once, Jim never complained about his illnesses and always held onto hope.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Olympia Servedio (Laura), his two sons, Jayme and Maurice Antonetti. His longtime partner, Dee Framm, who he has described as his “Angel”. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel (Danny) Antonetti and his wife, Patty. As well as nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April, 27th at 10:30AM at the Good Samaritan Community Church, 1441 Hoeger Circle, Kissimmee, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Melanoma Research Alliance and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
There will also be a service in Stamford, CT at a later date.
