Dad, mwesh, mentor, hero, friend and so many more. Nothing can describe who you were Hon. Silas Muriuki Rutere. You were and remain a great hero of our times. Today, we do not mourn you, instead we celebrate you. When we came to Runogone together with my family, you became a friend and dad figure to us. We will miss you but we thank God that he gave us an opportunity to serve with you. Shine on your way and dance with angles mwesh! To our mum, Eva, my sister's and brothers the Muriuki's immediate family- peace and comfort of the Lord be with you!

Rest in peace Hon. Muriuki. You indeed have served God's purpose in your Generation. I really did enjoy serving you at the Conference Office because you had a word of encouragement for me each time we engaged. Rest in perfect peace and May the Lord keep where He keeps His faithfuls. The Methodist Family will indeed miss you.
Timothy Kinyua Kirema

You were a Phenomenal man who inspired many , myself included. We all loved your demeanor, articulation, grace and professionalism. Today, I choose to celebrate you. Thank you for inspiring many young people to pursue their dreams fiercely. You were great and still will be even with your passing. Go well Mhesh. You fought till the end.

I first met dad Muriuki in 1989. His daughter Carol and I attended the same high school. For the next 4 years dad faithfully took us to school on opening day and picked us up on closing day and brought us back home. I looked forward to the chips and chicken he would buy us when we got to Nairobi. His sharp memory amazed me because he never once forgot me and even after many years passed by. He would greet me by name with a smile and ask after my business which he always remembered and would ask after my parents. It's sad to see you leave us dad, however you have left a legacy that shall never be forgotten and a light that will forever shine in the hearts of many. May the Lord continue to comfort mum and my sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews. With Love Kagwi Anondo

To the Dear Family of Mr. Muriuki, It is well with the Lord. I know how much Dad has been a driving force and pillar to the family. Keep the spirit and memories alive. To my dear friends Prudence Muriuki, and Carole Muriuki be strong and restore Dad's virtues of humbleness and commitment to always do good no matter the situation. You struck a code in me,by extension on what you learnt through Dad. May his Soul rest in eternal peace
