14 de septiembre de 1937 - 22 de julio de 2026
George Dinh Nguyen lived a life defined by resilience, integrity, quiet strength, and an unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, skilled electronics technician, accomplished cook, passionate gardener, and a man whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
Born in Vietnam, George proudly served in the Vietnamese Secret Service before the fall of Saigon. In 1975, he immigrated to the United States with his family, beginning the difficult journey of rebuilding a new life in a new country. Through determination, perseverance, and hard work, he established a successful career in California as a skilled electronics technician, where he became known for his sharp analytical mind and technical expertise.
Above all else, George’s greatest pride and joy was his family.
He shared a loving marriage of more than 63 years with his beloved wife, Lucy Hoa Nguyen. Their relationship was built on love, loyalty, partnership, and countless shared memories. George adored Lucy and treasured the life they built together. One of his favorite hobbies was photography, and he could often be found capturing family gatherings, vacations, holidays, and everyday moments that he wanted to preserve forever.
Together, George and Lucy raised eight children: Rosalie, Thanh, Amanda, Sue, Jessica, Nathalie, Danielle, and Christine. As the family grew, so did George’s joy in becoming a grandfather. Nothing brought him greater happiness than having his family gathered together. Whether he was cooking a favorite meal, tending to his orchids while the grandchildren played nearby, or simply sitting quietly surrounded by those he loved, those moments were the ones he treasured most.
George was a man of quiet dignity and unwavering integrity. He believed in working hard, honoring his commitments, and caring deeply for the people he loved. Meticulous by nature and exceptionally dependable, he approached every responsibility with patience, thoughtfulness, and pride. His family admired not only what he accomplished, but the character with which he lived his life.
Outside of work and family life, George found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He had a true passion for gardening and especially loved caring for orchids. Spending time outdoors among his plants brought him peace and contentment. He was also an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. Sharing food was one of the many ways he expressed his love and care for others.
George’s life was deeply rooted in his Vietnamese heritage and traditions. His Buddhist and Cao Đài beliefs shaped the values by which he lived, emphasizing compassion, humility, respect for family, gratitude, and service to others. Those principles guided him throughout his life and continue to be reflected in the legacy he leaves behind.
George is survived by his beloved wife of more than 63 years, Lucy Nguyen; his children, Rosalie, Thanh, Amanda, Sue, Jessica, Nathalie, Danielle, and Christine; and his cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Brian, Madeline, Kai, Tyler, Mia, Sophia, Maria, Caleb, Charlie, Nolan, Lauren, Zadie, and Knox.
George will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet generosity, and steadfast devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
