Felicisima's Grandchild
Felicisima "Felice" Tolentino Lapid
February 21st, 1931 - October 5th, 2026
February 21st, 1931 - October 5th, 2026
"Honest in word, steadfast in love, unwavering for her family.
Felicisima Tolentino Lapid, 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2026.
Born in Santa Rita, Pampanga, Philippines, she emigrated to the United States and spent over twenty years working to bring each of her children and their families here to join her.
Her patience and determination opened the door for all who followed, and today generations of her family built their lives here because she never gave up on that promise.
She was a woman of conviction, refreshingly candid and never one to pretend. She was fiercely loyal to the friends she chose, and her love for her family showed less in words than in everything she did for them.
She is survived by her five children, Gerry (Chat), Remy (Joey), Mel (Jeff), Rene (Cathy), and Ellen (Derek); her grandchildren Karren (Dee), Billy (Jegs), Gerard (Amanda), Kat (Chris), Sam (Chad), and Lauren (Justin); and her great-grandchildren Jan, Kylie, Emma, Andrew, Brandon, Charlie, Gabe, Elijah, Liv, and CJ.

I will never forget my Auntie Felicing (my dad’s older sister). She used to always send me a bday card. And after I had my son she always sent him a bday card. I remember when I was younger, she liked to bake and would make yummy Filipino desserts. Her suman was my favorite. When we had family gatherings growing up she would always give me a big hug and smile and hand me some money. My father was close to her she was his favorite sibling. I remember how she was smart, a hard worker and very independent. She had the Tolentino spirit, strong, loving, loyal, loved her family. Auntie I love you and will never forget you! Helen T.

My mother, Felice, came to this country at 50, and a conviction that things would work out if she simply refused to give up. She made it impossible for difficulty to have the last word. She was always working on something, always moving forward. She was not a soft woman, she didn’t sugarcoat things. Mom, you said your job was to take care of everything, and you did. You taught us everything that matters. Mom, we are not saying goodbye, we will follow when it’s time. Love you, MOM

I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I see your legacy in Sam every day. The strength, kindness, conviction, and love for family that defined your life clearly live on in her. What a beautiful gift to leave those you love. Your influence will continue to guide and inspire your beautiful family for generations to come. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.
