Love God and live life to the fullest.
Eleanor M. Shea, 63, passed away at her home in Framingham on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was born in Lowell on January 6, 1959, a daughter of the late John J. and Adria T. (Chagnon) Shea. Eleanor was raised in Lowell and attended St. Margaret School and was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Technical High School in 1977. She was a resident of Framingham and formerly of Lowell. Eleanor was employed as a CNA having worked for several nursing homes in the area and Lowell General Hospital. Before her retirement, she was a self-employed home health aide. Eleanor enjoyed going for walks, shopping, and collecting Irish items. She also enjoyed going to dinner with Nancy whom she worked in nursing homes and LGH with since 1991, spending time with Gladys who was like her sister, and watching movies and trips to Cape Cod with the love of her life, Kevin. She loved her dogs, Dapper, Mickey and Timmy and was always there to help and care for others. She is survived by her brother, Jack J. Shea of Lowell; her niece, Carolyn Shea of Somersworth, NH and her children, Damon, Liam and Jameson Burke and their father, Richard Burke; her godchildren, Leah (Lord) Barry and Brianna Gross; also, her dear friends Nancy Gagnon and Gladys Gross and her Yorkie, Timmy. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Kevin Flynn who passed away March 18.
Eleanor wrote the following in a book: I love you all and wish you a life of hope and happiness. Love God and live life to the fullest. I love you. She wished for happiness, love, and children. Love life and loved ones, not what you have. Life is precious. Life was hard for her but she lived the best she could. Eleanor enjoyed taking care of others at work and at home and to make people's days better. Her most fond memory was the birth of her beautiful niece, Carolyn, and her life. She wrote I love you with all my heart my mom, dad, and brother. She enjoyed Timmy, her Yorkie, who was like her baby. She loved Kevin so much and grieved his loss up until her final days.
Services will be held at St Margaret's Church in Lowell on Stevens Street on October 1 at 12 pm. A celebration of life will follow.
