Dwan Victor Witt was born to Emma Koepke and Chester Witt in 1925 in Lincoln Nebraska. Along with his brother, Arvid and sister, Marcille, he lived the life of a farmer. Dwan had to move during post-depression in 1938 to Colorado from Nebraska and leave his beloved pony behind. Chester, his dad, bought him goats as a replacement when they got to Colorado. He was happy puttering on his little farm and with the animals. He served in the Naval Reserves in 1945 and graduated from Colorado University with a degree in engineering. He was an avid hunter and nature lover and felt closest to God while in the forests, farms and wood

Dear Cheryl and all of Dwan's family, I want to tell you that I am sorry about your loss of you dear Father. I know how difficult it is to lose one's parents. But I know how much love their was between all of you. So keep those memories. I have many memories of Dwan when I was a kid. Dwan brought so much joy to my growng up years. I cherish those memories.
