9 de octubre de 1961 - 13 de noviembre de 2021

Doris M Quintana, 60, was called to be with our Lord on November 13, 2021. She was born on October 9, 1961 in Santa Fe, NM. She was loved by anyone who met her as she was intelligent and known for having a great sense of humor.

Doris is preceded in death by Higinio and Tomacita Quintana, Dickie Quintana, Agnes Valencia, Chris Quintana, and Terri Anne Quintana.

She is survived by Sixto and Esther Quintana, Leroy and Sandra Quintana, Diana Quintana, Jake Quintana, Clifford Quintana, Craig Anthony Valencia and Diana Sandoval and many nieces and nephews.

Doris worked for LANL for many years and was currently working for LANL as a contractor.

She loved music, sports, jeopardy, sci-fi and horror movies and gatherings with family and friends.   While she believed in the old ways of learning and working hard for what you need, she was a free spirit.

She will be severely missed as we send her into Jesus Christ’s loving arms.

A Rosary will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sagrada Familia in Rowe. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. following with burial at Rowe cemetery.

In lieu of flowers you can make donations to ASPCA, Habitat for Humanity, or Cancer Research of America.

Carmen M Rodriguez

To the family of Doris M. Quintana: Hello: My name is Carmen M. Rodriguez and I met beautiful Doris Quintana while working at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Since last year I have been trying to find a way to contact Doris because she has been on my mind for a year now. I tried LANL directory but could not find her information. When I saw that she passed away, I was so very sad. I should have tried harder to figure out where Doris was at. I will always remember my friend Doris. She had a beautiful smile and a cool laugh. Doris and I attended the University of Phoenix together and she was very helpful in "our team" and Doris was considered the smart one in our team. Doris was cool. She called me "slacker"...this was the first time I had heard that word - but she meant it in a nice way. Doris was also my tutor in math. I am so very sorry to hear about Doris passing away. I will try to make the rosary/funeral, but I just wanted to say something about beautiful Doris. She will always be a brilliant star in our New Mexico Sky. Con mucho Carino, Carmen M. Rodriguez

My condolences to the family of Doris. I worked with her in Los Alamos for many years and Doris was always very friendly, funny, and above all very professional. Her response was always "No problem just send it over, I'll start working on it". Rest in Peace my friend.
