Diana L. Sears, age 73, of Council Bluffs passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Diana was born on September 9, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. to the late Kenneth and Emma (Anderson) Lathrop. She attended the CE School of Commerce for 2 years. Diana last worked as a General Manager for Red Roof Inn Hotel. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and P.E.O. Sisterhood of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Diana was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer and Joseph Cerise III of Tampa, Florida; step daughter, Donelle Hiers and significant other David Bartlett of Council Bluffs; son, Jeffery Sunders of Council Bluffs; 7 grandchildren; 2 ½ great grandchildren; sister, Debbie and Fred Condos of Wellington, CO.; 2 nephews; great nephew; great niece; great great nephew and other relatives.

A private family memorial service will be held in the future.
