'The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it' Aunty Denise lived for Christ and her actions were evident of her passion for Him. A legacy that is going to be missed by those that have witnessed her life and heaven bound achievements. May our Lord grant the family a portion of his comfort as they endure this difficult loss. From: Claudia, Jeshaiah and Emily.

Our childhood was filled with exciting Christmas's and New Years, waking up to the smell of homemade goodies. Sabbath lunches were for a salad and dip tray, the infamous pumpkin pie or butternut soup and "millionaires cake" - sunsets were for homemade garlic loaves, pastries and crackers with dips- always the best host! Summers were for pool parties and every odd weekend was for sleepovers. When we became adults and had some tough moments she was a confidant, a sounding board, always ready to listen, defend and even share a book. I loved the steel box in the wardrobe that always had a sweet treat, because "a day without chocolate was a wasted day". Our lives were rich because of Aunty Nisie. To Uncle Keith, Nay, Chekk and Wina thank you for sharing your home and mum with us. We always felt loved and welcomed. Thank you for honoring your mum until the very end. If I am grateful for one thing it would be that I got to love and be loved by a GREAT woman. I am especially grateful that even my kids had the opportunity to be a part of the life of a woman of greatness. I look forward to the day when we will be reunited, never to part again!

Tribute to Aunty Denise We gather here today with heavy hearts, bound together by love and remembrance for someone who meant so much to each of us. Aunty Denise was more than just an aunt, a friend, a mother, and a sister—she was a radiant presence in our lives. Her warmth, wisdom, and laughter brought comfort in ways that words often fail to capture. I’ll never forget the last time she recognized me. I was having a difficult day, and she pulled me into a hug and said, “I love you, Charie.” The past few years have brought many “lasts.” The last time she drove a car. The last time she came to church. The last time she opened her eyes. Each of these moments, though painful, became precious. We hold onto them, not as reminders of loss, but as pieces of her story that we were privileged to witness. It’s been hard to understand why God allowed her to linger in the fading of herself. But we serve a gracious God—one who welcomes our questions, our grief, and our longing to make sense of what we cannot see. Maybe He knew that losing her all at once would have been too much to bear. And maybe He allowed us to say goodbye piece by piece, so the weight of goodbye wouldn’t break us. For now, we pray and believe we will see her again, that one day we will be reunited with our beloved Oumie, Moekie, mother, our Aunty Denise in that place where there will be no more pain and no more fading, and where all our “lasts” will be replaced with an infinite supply of firsts and forevers. Thank you.

Beloved family... May you find comfort in the beautiful legacy Aunty Denise leaves behind, a life lived with purpose, a heart that loved deeply, and fond memories of her that continues to inspire. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God grant you peace during this time of loss, and may Aunty Denise rest in Jesus. Death may touch us now, but it does not have the final word. In Christ, we have the hope of resurrection and restoration. One day, God will wipe away every tear, and “there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4). We thank the Lord for sending Jesus to conquer the grave and give us eternal life. May we strive to live each day with hope, knowing that God's plan is life, not death. With love and Sympathy, Hilford, Natalie, Erica and Jo-Win

My Favourite memories as a child were at Aunty Denise's home. She had a gift of making sure people always felt welcomed in her home. She loved everyone and made sure the naughty kids felt loved too. She was a blessing to be around and always had such incredible stories she'd share. She was a real life Proverbs 31 lady. I remember her making an effort to make Uncle Keith's Favourite meals and seeing her light up when Uncle Keith looked excited about the dinner she prepared. You can see her love reflected in her Wina, Nay and Chekky and the grandkids. I know Aunty Denise fought the good fight and I will endeavor to follow her example and work for Jesus so that one day when Jesus comes we can meet together in the clouds. I look forward to hearing all her amazing stories again and seeing her bright beautiful smile. Aunty Denise will be sorely missed because she is deeply loved.
