December 11th, 1947 - May 7th, 2025
David R. Lesko passed away on May 7, 2025, at age 77. He was here at home in hospice care since March 13, suffering severely from Alzheimer's. For the last few weeks, we had been dressing in our matching T-shirts, figuring it would bring back some memories and joy in his final days.
Instead of a memorial service, I developed this website. There are lots of pictures and a few stories in the memorial album that describe our years together.
I donated David's body to medical science (Science Care), where it will be used to advance medical causes.
David came home on May 30. I'm going to scatter his ashes in our garden.

Dear Barbara, I will always have fond memories of you and David in your matching T-shirts at the Berkshires dance, and playing board games with David and others including Paul Harrington, Eric Brosius, and Andy Latto Saturday evening of the weekend. So sorry for your loss.

What a beautiful tribute to David and in honor of the time you both spent together! Although I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing David for long, I did enjoy the little time we spent together. It seems he was quite a guy, and I only wish I had the privilege of meeting you both sooner! Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute with me. I’m sure he will be missed by many. My heartfelt love goes out to you as you move forward with your life’s journey! Tammy
William and Theresa Cruz
Theresa and I met David and Barbara through a mutual love of gardening. This was the beginning of a unique and beautiful friendship. We were deeply honored to have taken a role in uniting their lives in marriage. We mourn the loss of our friend, but cherish the memories we hold. Barbara, be assured that we stand by your side.

Barbara - I'm so sorry to hear of David's passing. I always enjoyed dancing with both of you. Thanks for this unexpected insight into a side of your lives that I never knew about. I've attached a couple of photos that I found - Fall Berkshires 1999 and Spring Berkshires 2009.

I probably should explain the picture in the top left of the banner. These colorful plates have nasturtium, lettuce, and other harvest from our gardens. The first one we did we called the "Sue" plate, named after Sue, who came to C-Gulls to call. We brought it down as a gift. We continued to make Sue plates for other callers and guest that came our way. I grew the plants, and David did the plate arrangements.

This is the chicken coup that David made for our chicken adventure. We had 10 chickens, then 9, then we gave the chickens back after a week.
