Forever in our Hearts
Catherine Turner, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday, 8th September 2022, at the age of forty-three. She was born to Ann and Robert Turner in Lancaster, England, and is survived by both of her parents, her two siblings, Robert and Debbie, and her little dog Freddie.
Catherine had a keen mind and avid curiosity leading her to pursue a career in journalism and copywriting. She was a talented writer and will be missed dearly by those she worked with at the Reading Evening Post, Marketing Week, and Publicis UK, as well as by the many clients and agencies she worked with throughout her freelance career.
A great friend, Catherine was disorganised, usually late, and rather messy—but more importantly, she was compassionate, fun-loving, bright, and with a grand sense of adventure. She loved to read, to travel and explore, and to socialise with friends new and old. Surprisingly, as she was a high-level competitive slalom canoeist in her youth, she didn’t like boats. Her favourite television show was Murder She Wrote, and she watched every episode multiple times. Her taste in music was eclectic, ranging from Dolly Parton to the Stone Roses.
She will be missed very much.

We are in the process of arranging a funeral or memorial and will supply details in due course. There may be a short delay as she is with the coroner’s office, but we expect that a service will take place in late October. Donations in lieu of funeral flowers may be directed to the Sepsis Trust. We have set up a JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/catherineturner1979.
