Carol A. S. Arthur

Carol A. S. Arthur, born in 1942, was called home on August 5th 2022 at the age of 80 after a stoic and brave battle with a rare cancer.  Carol was predeceased by her loving husband, Chester Arthur, whom she missed every day since his passing. She is survived by her two sons Kris (Terri) and Eric (Charity), two grandchildren Alyssa and Andrew, and her beloved dog Danny Boy. Carol was blessed to with many siblings, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, wonderful coworkers and lovely neighbors who all formed a strong and faithful network for her. Carol was a proud Registered Nurse who worked a wide range of nursing specialties. During her career serving others, she worked in private, county, state and VA hospital settings.  She was motivated by finding the next challenge and did not hesitate to take on the next job with more responsibilities and always in effort to better the field of nursing.  Carol was able to retire from the Federal Government after long and rewarding career in nursing and nursing administration. Carol was a loving and proud wife, mother and grandmother as well as friend and mentor to so many. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, neighbors and nursing colleagues. Carol was known by family and friends for being a wonderful hostess and always insisted on bringing her desserts for any family function or as an occasional surprise.
