Brett Dennis Buckman, a beloved resident of Bel Air, Kansas, tragically passed away on September 17th, 2023 at 1:23 A.M. He was struck by a car while crossing the street, leaving a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community that loved him dearly. Brett was 30 years old. Brett was born on January 6th, 1993, to Oliver and Cyrus Buckman. From a young age, Brett exhibited a zest for life and a contagious enthusiasm that touched the lives of those around him. He possessed a kind and compassionate nature, always ready to lend a helping hand and bring a smile to the faces of others. Brett grew up in Bel Air, Kansas, where he formed deep connections with his community. He attended local schools, where he excelled academically and formed lifelong friendships. After graduating from high school, Brett pursued higher education at the University of Kansas, where he was known not only for his academic achievements but also for his outstanding talent and dedication as a football player. At the University of Kansas, Brett's passion for football shone brightly. He was a standout athlete, demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership on the field. His commitment to the sport and his teammates was unwavering, and he was admired for his work ethic and determination. Brett's contributions to the University of Kansas football team will forever be remembered and cherished. Outside of his athletic pursuits, Brett had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with friends, exploring nature, and engaging in various recreational activities. Brett's adventurous spirit was contagious, and he encouraged others to embrace life's adventures alongside him. Brett will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his unwavering loyalty, and his genuine care for others. He leaves behind a legacy of athletic excellence, camaraderie, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Brett Dennis Buckman will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery, located at 7200 E 45th St. N, Bel Air, Kansas 67226. The funeral service will be held on September 22nd, 2023, at 12:00 P.M., where family, friends, and members of the community will gather to pay their final respects and celebrate Brett's life.
