Bill passed away suddenly at home. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Leonard and Mary Louise Jones and brother-in-law Gil Ornelas. He is survived by his sister Renie Ornelas of Portage, IN. His brother Ralph( Rose) of Athens, Alabama. His nephew Jerry(Cheryl) Gilles of Portage, IN, nephew John Haws of New Carlisle IN, niece Jackie(Rodrigo) Ajates of Fort Worth, TX, Michael(Kelly) Jones of Sydney, Australia, Gregory Jones of Nashville, TN. Many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. His special childhood friends from grade school Joe Berger, Bob Rogonovich, Bill Galonis, and Pete V. You never knew what was going to happen when they all got together and sometimes you didn't want to know. Bill worked many years as a boilermaker at US Steel,Gary Works. He left the mill and moved out west and joined the IBEW and learned to be an electrician. He moved back to Northwest Indiana for the remainder of his life. Bill is going to be missed by many. He would do anything for you if possible. He might sometimes complain about it but he'd still be happy to help you. There will be a private funeral and memorial service later this spring.

Bill often found a way to laugh and bring everyone else along for the joke as well. Sorry to hear of your loss.
