Linus and my first memory of Uncle Anjan was when he rang our doorbell because Sanjeet and his family (who were our next door neighbours in South City), were not home and he didn’t have the keys to let himself in. So he waited at our place until Sanjeet got home. Uncle Anjan always credited himself for introducing our families to each other :)))). Our experiences with the Dey family have always been fond and wonderful. We met Uncle Anjan as recently as January 6th and we spent the day with him at his favourite place, Saturday Club. He insisted on feeding us with his favourite dishes :)))). May Uncle Anjan’s soul rest in peace.

I remember the day Sanjeet had his transplant surgery. Baba, Mama and i waited as the surgery progressed. All of us were worried. Baba asked me what would i like to eat and got me a soup amd sandwich from the cafe in the hospital. Very quietly, we were all quiet.as we waited. What touched me was that even while he was worried for his own son, he did not forget about me. He cared.
