Angelina Marie Ortega
July 21st, 1996 - August 29th, 2024
July 21st, 1996 - August 29th, 2024
Angelina Marie Ortega passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on August 29, 2024, after a 3-month battle with a severe infection at the young age of 28. Angelina was born and raised in Santa Fe and was a devoted mother to her 2 young children. She loved her children, her parents, her family and friends. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone that knew her, whether it was for 5 minutes or 5 years her infectious smile would light up a room. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, she loved music, watching movies with her dad and cousin, she loved Halloween and watching scary movies. She was looking forward to pursuing her career in the health field. She looked forward to her yearly walks to Santuario. She loved Ariel from the Little Mermaid and anything Disney. She was a big kid at heart, the smallest things made her happy, she loved doing crafts with her kids, helping with schoolwork, attending school functions, seeing her daughter cheer with the local high schools. Everything she did was for her children, everything else was secondary. She was looking forward to seeing her children grow and making more memories with them.
Angelina is preceded in death by her baby brother Anthony, her grandmother’s Mary Lujan and Gloria Ortega, her great grandparents Rose and Robert Jenks, Elvira and Feliciano Lujan, Lorencita Lucero and Joe and Cordellia Giron. Also, by many close friends.
Angelina is survived by her parents Melanie Lujan and Anthony Ortega, her children Analicia and Amado Quezada. Her Grandfather’s Jose Lujan and Roy Ortega, Her Nina and Nino Angelo and Frances Ortega, Aunt Geri Ann Giron, her special cousins Milyah (Lala) and Isaiah Ortega, Erik Lynch, Stacie Lujan, Raeann and Ariyah Tapia, Randall Lopez, Johnny and Rico Lujan, her favorite uncle Raymond Tapia. Her close friends Sophia Medina, Elena Varela, Isaiah and Noah Roybal, Jamie Roybal, Jennifer Tapia, Gabriella Moss, Michael Tapia, Brianna Barela and numerous other family and friends.
We would like to thank Nick Armijo who was one of Angelina’s nurses. Dr. Glenda King (Surgeon) who took care of Angelina and treated her with compassion.
Services are as followed, Rosary will be recited on September 16, 2024 at 6pm at Rivera’s Family Funerals and Cremations Kiva Chapel. Catholic services to be celebrated at 11am at St. Johns Catholic Church on Tuesday September 17, 2024. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery. A receipt will follow the burial at the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Pallbearers will be Isaiah Ortega, Analicia and Amado Quezada.
