I am deeply saddened by the loss of this beautiful, sweet-smiling neighbor I had in Raleigh, NC. My heart❤goes out to her partner Patrick, their two children and Sinnika and Patrick's parents. She will always be in my heart. To list everything she did and stood for would take days. Here she is:

I met Sinikka early one morning in Pacific Spirit Park. She was walking Maggie. My dog Buddy fell in love with Maggie that morning and we would walk together on occasion. I really enjoyed Sinikka’s company. I was extremely sad to learn of her death and want to send my sincere sympathy to her family, friends, colleagues and students. She had such a lovely presence and I will miss her.
