Reggie was truly an incredible individual. He was the kind of friend you knew you could count on when it mattered most. I will never forget the good times we shared at UND and how on any given day Reggie could make the entire aviation shuttle erupt in laughter. Whether it was driving the UND bus to McDonalds, studying aviation, or just shooting the breeze there was not a more funny, genuine, or caring individual to be around. When I ran into issues with my aviation medical certificate, Reggie was always someone who was there to listen and offer his support. After I graduated and left North Dakota there were not many people I stayed in touch with, but Reggie was most certainly one of them. He was just the kind of person you’d always remain friends with and never forget. I think I speak for everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him when I say that he will always be missed.

Reggie, I hope it’s always favorable winds and skies clear up above, you deserve nothing less.

Thank you for enriching my life Reggie. I will miss you buddy. Even though we were only "internet friends" that played games online together, I will cherish all the fun moments we shared and the time we got to spend together. You were a beautiful, kind, caring, gentle soul and to Reggies family, thank you for raising such an amazing human. I'll never forget you my friend <3

Reggie, what a sweet sweet soul. I first met you when you were about 5. As friends of your parents and then as your babysitter, I got to see you grow from your earliest years and through your teen years, until I moved away. I still kept up with your life through your parents and social media but I missed out on seeing you become a man in person. And from what I can tell, not much had changed.

Even as a kid, you were so thoughtful, kind, caring, loving and funny. You helped me with your brother. I remember you claiming I was only there to watch him because you didn't need a sitter. And of course, I remember your vows to marry me one day and live happily ever after. And I loved you. You were one of my first kiddos to babysit. Even as you grew up and I would just hang out at your house, you always made time to talk to me, tell me about your life and make sure to take care of me. Your smile warmed every heart, your hugs took away all worries, your compassion made life better. You were taken too soon. I know you are at peace in heaven but you are deeply missed.

I rode the bus home from junior high with Reggie every day for 2 years, we went to high school together and always shared smiles and said hello when we saw each other in the hallways. Though we were never closer than buddies that rode the same bus and walked home together over a decade ago, I am shook to my core over this news. That just goes to show the impression I’m sure he made on everyone he crossed paths with. I remember his infectious laugh and impeccable sense of humor. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of this dear departed soul. May you find peace ♥️

To be friends with Reggie meant that you had someone who was always in your corner cheering you on and watching your back. He believed in his people and took delight in their successes. Reggie has always and will always be one of the brightest lights I have had the pleasure of knowing and calling my friend. I know that my life has been changed for the better just from meeting Reggie a few years ago.
Fly high Reggie ❤️

Reggie, you were an absolute pillar to rely on during our time at UND. While I'm heartbroken at your passing, I'm thankful for the time we had together. I can't think of a better leader in our campus community, and I'll always cherish the memories we built. I'll miss your positive energy man, fly high and blue skys.

I can't think of a single other person I've had the pleasure of meeting who could hold a candle to the kind of selflessness and compassion I saw from Reggie. From the first day I met him he went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable and welcome in a new environment at college. I could have never guessed that casually mentioning a video game and a shared love/hate relationship with the Bengals to him could lead to one of the strongest friendships I've ever developed.

As I got to know him more I got to experience some of the best times of my life, and looking back that was no coincidence. I got to see him become the glue that brought together a group of friends that would have never existed without him. He was always a shoulder to lean on, a kind ear to hear you out, and a wise advisor. I lament not having many photos together but anytime I was with Reggie I was having too much fun enjoying the moment to think about taking one. There was no other person that made me want to experience life and live in the moment more.

Many of those moments and those people are what make me who I am today, Reggie being chief among them. There are so many more things I wish I could have done with him, but I know I'll strive to continue his legacy along with everyone else who knew him. If I can give a tenth of what he did to others, help a hundredth of the people, or share a thousandth of the laughs he did I'll consider myself lucky.

Love you man,
Nathan

It's a challenge and pain to accept Reggie's lost, but we're fortunate to have had such a wonderful friend who makes it so hard to say goodbye.

Reggie, simply put, was a class act. I remember when our paths first crossed at the University of North Dakota, where I came on campus as a naïve yet hopeful freshman. I was fortunate, more than I'd ever know, to have Reggie as my RA that first year. I won't forget the late nights we spent talking about all types of ideas, stories and everything in between. I won't forget the 4th of July fireworks we lit off in empty North Dakotan fields, or the bonfires and BBQs he had hosted and graciously invited me to attend.

Reggie was also my RM, overseeing the apartment complex I lived in for the rest of my time as a UND student. I remember once setting off the smoke alarm in a failed attempt to make burgers and receiving a text from Reggie shortly thereafter questioning my mental cognitive abilities while ensuring my mental well-being.

I consider myself privileged and blessed to have met a genuine character such as Reggie. And I will remember his values as core attributes and a guiding beacon.

Thank you for everything, Reggie. I cherish the time we shared together, and will always value the moments spent. The world won't be the same without you in it, but the lives you impacted are better off because of the presence you had.

Cleared direct to Heaven, proceed as filed. Frequency change approved.

Your friend and questionably best resident,
Sameer

Reggie was the BEST roommate, BEST business partner, and BEST FRIEND I could have ever had. We may not have always been eye to eye, but we always took care of each other! He knew nothing but how to love and care passionately—constantly putting himself before others. So much, so that late one night Reggie and I talked about how much money there is floating in this world untapped for something good, and we talked for hours about how we could change the world and so that night, we started drafting our business plan to send kids to space camp as a non-profit. The only thing we cared about was sending as many kids to space camp as possible. I know on that first day we send a kid to space camp, even if it’s one, Reggie will be celebrating so loud we will be able to feel it from down here. Reggie, I miss you, buddy, so much I wish we could have one more laugh together.

Love,

Mike

Reggie was my best friend from college. I'll never forget the day that I met this amazing man. All the things we did together, all the things we thought of doing. So many great memories. So many times of just simple being with each other and our friends, staying up late talking about life and everything we cared about at the time. We shared our love for airplanes, but our friendship was more than that. I could try to describe the feelings I have, but they would all fall short of the truth. I loved Reggie as many did, and I know he loved me and so many more than I or they will ever know. This picture is with our mutual friend Derek on a trip we took to Duluth, MN and stopped at our hunting shack on the way to do some scouting.

Reggie was one of the first people I got to know during my first year as a Resident Assistant at UND. We were both on the same area staff (McVey/West/U-Place) and because our buildings were connected via tunnels, we were constantly hanging out. He helped me through some hard situations, both work-wise and in my personal life. I became a better person during the years I knew Reggie and I know that part of my growth was from his influence. He was such an incredible soul and I know that he has touched so many people’s lives. He always encouraged me to be a better person and to always pursue my dreams. He would listen to me practice piano in the McVey/West lobbies and vibe with the music, even if it didn’t sound too good. He continually made me laugh and always teased me about a multitude of things. The last conversation I had with him was when I told him that I got a teaching position and he was so happy for me, calling me “Madame Rosenau”. I will forever be grateful for the endless amount of memories I was able to create with him, and I am truly at a loss for how to live in a world without his boisterous, exceptional personality.

Reggie,

We may have not talked much in college but I'll never how your prescence lightened up the room. You brought so much joy and I enjoyed our little chats at Wilkerson and at game nights. Your smile and laughter was contagious. Rest in peace and fly high Reggie. Miss you dearly.
