Lindsey Marie (Walenga) Grosso left us in soul on April 19, 2023, and in body surrounded by her loving family on April 26, 2023 at the age of 38. Lindsey was born in Grosse Pointe on June 11, 1984 to Lori and Glen Grosso.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her grandparents Walt and Olga Krynski and Sylvia and Raymond Grosso. She is survived by her children Carlene, 10, and Calvin Walenga, 6, their devoted father David Walenga, her loving partner Nigel Griswold (Ila, 12, and Cecelia, 10), her parents, her little sister Jessica Grosso, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Lindsey loved big and deep. Lindsey’s moon and stars were her beautiful children, whom she adored. They were her heart and soul. Friends and family never wondered how she felt; Lindsey spoke her truth at every opportunity. She loved herself as much as she loved her people, often prioritizing yoga, meditation, fun, or writing over timeliness. As the first Krynski grandchild, she quickly got used to being the center of attention. But whatever attention she received, she always gave back twofold.
Lindsey was a leader of leaders and the CEO and co-founder of Siren (established in 2012 with Adela Piper). Siren was built under Lindsey’s leadership to use clear, powerful communication to build trust. Her professional and personal legacy centers around finding connection and truth above all else.
Lindsey attended Grosse Pointe North High School, graduating class of 2002, and Western Michigan University, graduating class of 2006.
Lindsey’s family and friends will deeply miss and never forget her strength and bravery, and the dancing, music, and light she brought into every room she entered. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Belle Isle Conservancy or the Brain Injury Association of America.
