Jim and Debbie were two of the very first people I got to really know after marrying Brian. They knew we loved to golf and when we were in town would invite us to join them. I have lots of fond memories golfing together at Cedar Links.

Then, once we moved here, they opened their home and hearts to us. As primary president they let the primary invade and use their giant slip n slide in the back yard for two separate primary events. Then they let the entire Hall clan invade and use it too.

Debbie was always a calming force in my life. She would point out the subtle joys that come from my mundane work in the home. Jim was always a character and such a jovial person to be around. I miss them both terribly and their memories come up in many every day occurences in my life. I feel lucky to still rub shoulders with their children. I love each and every one of you.

We first met Jim and Debbie when they moved into Medford 3 ward, We played basketball together quite a bit. I still have a scar on my upper lip after an encounter with his elbow during one of those games. When we learned he was commuting to Elko to work as a plumber each week while his plumbing business was getting started, a round trip of over 1000 miles, we offered him an opportunity to work with us until his plumbing was sufficient. I think that was about two years. His humor and joke playing kept our attention. We an older guy who loved to talk politics and Jim would get him started and walk away and this guy would try and find someone to continue the conversation, When we needed plumbing related supplies we could go to the whole saler and get Jims price on what we needed. When we built our house in 2000, Jim did the plumbing and though we paid for the material, he never charged us for the labor. Our water heater which warms the house died on a Sunday morning. I phoned Jim and by Monday afternoon he had it all replaced. The quote Pres Clason referred to, a Jimism has some more to it. It is "it may be poop to you but it is bread and butter to me, All things flow down hill, pay day is on Friday, and don't chew your fingernails". Jim went to Farragut Idaho for the International Scout Jamboree in 1984. Great memories.

I would like to leave a memory of the three of us our little group jim, jon Howell and myself Lonny Jensen. At the time we all had motorcycles and we would always go for a ride around Logan on this particular time we headed to JB's Big Boy to get a bite to eat Jon Howell had gone to the dentist and had two of his wisdom teeth pulled out and when we received our orders we started to eat Jim and I were making fun of how Jon was trying to eat we were trying not to laugh he would open his mouth as far as he could then take his fork and try to stuff the food in it was so funny that I had a very hard time to not laugh I had my mouth full of food and I burst out laughing food and drink came out of my nose and all over my plate that's all it took we were all started laughing uncontrollably the other people in the restaurant wanted to know what was wrong with us. When we were leaving on our bikes you had to go through a ditch with water in it and I was not very careful as I excelerated my rear tire lost traction and down I went right in the middle of main street in Logan not the right way to end a histaericle night but that's the way it went
Thank-you Jim for your love and friendship over the years you will always hold a special part of my heart in your hands you will be sorely be missed I Loved you Jim until we meet again. Your Friend Forever.

We spent Christmas Eve 2019 with Kim, Dave, the kids and Jim. It was one to be remembered forever! Kim serenaded us with beautiful singing and guitar music. Jim requested a few of his favorite songs for her to sing. It was such a lovely time listening, laughing and loving one another. Jim, we will miss you! Eagar family we love you all!

We love Jim Eagar! I have many memories of Jim while being at Kim's house growing up, through college, and even through my married years when visiting their home or seeing them when visiting Kim. I always loved his smile and his genuine interest in me, and he always made me feel like I was the best. I remember visiting Traci and Mark late one evening at their home, and Jim and Debi stayed up visiting with us. We all chatted and laughed, and like always, he acted so interested in me and my little family. I see him in Kim and all of you - Carrie, Traci, and Justin - and know his legacy and your mom's lives on through each of you and the amazing people you each are. Lots of love from us Malans.

I have heard so many people tell me how much they love Jim. How I miss him.
After Debbie died he would show up at my door every three or four weeks and say “get your shoes on. We’re going out for dinner” and we had the greatest talks about Debbie and about Gods purpose for him now that he was alone. I loved the deeper side of Jim but he was also great fun.

When I was first transferred here from Bend about 6 years ago, most customers would not give me the time of day for whatever reason. My second day here Jim walked into my office and we chatted for an hour. He was the first person in Medford that made me feel welcome.
I don’t forget things like that. Now the Keller and Eagar relationship has done nothing but grow ever since.

The Hall family has great love for the Eagars, and so many special memories of special times. Roger loved serving with Jim. He kept Jim and Brad Telford as counselors when he became bishop after Greg Smith. Roger loved Jim for his common sense. He was solid and reliable and when he had a job to do he did it. He was a great friend to all, who always had a sweet smile and a twinkle in his eye. We will miss his gentleness. Our hearts go out to Jim and Debi's kids, who will miss him terribly, as they have their beautiful mother. By the way, I personally loved that Jim always called me "Rozie."

Great description of Jim. He’s so solid, reliable, and of the old school definition of quiet manliness. That made his compliment to me one day on the Rogue River all the more credible. We battled over raft supremacy in a hostel take over type of play. Jim’s a big guy, at least by my standards, but I managed to be the last man standing. He paid me a compliment about my newly acquired strength after a long hard season fighting fires. The Eager’s are a Great family. His daughters and his son make him proud every day.

This world is less bright now that Jim is not here. We will miss him. Very thankful to know that he and Debi are together again.
He always did have a real love for children…his own and all of his friends little ones.
I remember a back yard gathering at their house-lots if nummy food and friendly friends. Our Kate was happily bouncing on the trampoline. Jim quietly crawled underneath, then let out a very loud growl, which completely unnerved her. With one bounce that made all her limbs swirl with fright, she went from the middle to the ground, quickly seeking the safety of her mother’s soft lap.

What does one say at a time like this? I perceived Jim as a kind, gentle, thoughtful man that knew how to love. His family was his treasure, his love and devotion to Debi was VERY apparent throughout her battle with cancer. When she passed you could feel that he didn't have the "bounce" and that he missed her terribly. I can only feel joy that they are reunited again! He has left a legacy that will not diminish, kindness, gentle demeanor, integrity, honesty, dignity, humor, emulating the Savior Jesus Christ to the best of his ability. Well done, Jim. We will miss you as we have missed Debi but knowing the "dynamic duo" are together again will get us through.

There are so many special experiences I have had with Uncle Jim, too much to write about here, but every experience provided the same result. I felt like I was highly valued & stood taller after visiting with him & the peace he had with him was so strong & felt so amazing! I love Uncle Jim and always will!

Uncle Jim shared his compassion & provided an incredible service for me when my dad, Jack, passed away. He & Aunt Debi drove his casket & body from Gilbert to Eagar for me.
Then prior to the funeral, he came to visit me & my family at the hotel and introduced himself to my young children & I remember the calm peace that was with us in the room as we visited. He was always an example of love.

Although Jim and Debi Eagar treasured their children and grandchildren more than anything in life, they had a habit of treating everyone like family. We learned how to take the first bite of birthday cake from Jim. We learned "don't just to get a haircut, get 'em all cut." They took care of our bouncy toddler in the nursery- a job that only professionals could handle. ;) And Jim calmed our fussy baby while we taught lessons in church. We couldn't decide who needed the nap more. He taught by example. :) (See photo June 2013.) We love Jim & Debi so much!!! Heaven has gained another angel.
