A life of mission, devotion, and sacrifice across three continents. Whoever it was, she met them where they were and helped them see beyond to where Christ was leading. She held nothing back for herself but served others with love, truth, and overflowing life and joy.

Words fail to capture the fullness of blessing she brought in life. Now that the Lord has called her to His rest, let our shared remembrance be a small testimony to the life she led.

Dear M Hannah and M Don, Paul and John, M Hannah is a very special person to me and our paths continued to cross over the years. I first met m Hannah when my two children, Agnes and Albert went to Argentina in 2005. She graciously invited them to stay with her family when they went there to study the Spanish language during their college years. Albert lived together with the family for the entire summer even though her house was small and she had her own kids to think about. It was very gracious of her and m Don. I also spent some time in Argentina visiting them. The ministry was humble but vibrant and sincere. M Hannah worked full time as a school teacher but managed to serve many others too. I remember when I was there how she invited me my children and several others to her home at 9 pm to a feast of delicious argentine barbecue one night after she worked all that day. She learned how to speak Spanish like a native and led Bible studies on Sundays. Later I met her again in Chicago where she lived for a few years before the family returned to their mission field. Again she worked as a teacher but she always had time to talk and pray with me and talk about our children and ministry. M Hannah was a woman of a big heart and ready to work hard no matter the task. I will remember you in my heart m Hannah and I thank God that you gave your youth and the lives of your precious family members for His work of salvation in Argentina. It is precious beyond my words. God be with your family at this time of the loss of your wife and mother.

I met Missionary Hannah back in May 1985 while a student at the University of Toledo (Ohio). From day 1 she inspired me to grow strong in my walk with the lord with first studying from the book of John. I remembered many nights when she invited me over for dinner and fellowship and my love for Missionary Hannah and her family grew immensely. She met my mom and family. A couple years later and over the years while serving in the air force she was there for me. I last corresponded with her on facebook May 12, two days before she was called home to be with the Lord. She shared a photo of her mom who was 92. I mentioned how she is so blessed to have her mom still. I lost my mom 30 years ago from cancer. Sadly I cannot help but wonder how her mom is holding up losing her daughter. This really troubles me thinking back to the last few days. I pray that God strengthens her mom and Shepherd Don and her two sons during this difficult time and brings peace beyond understanding. This was too sudden. She was an angel sent by God who really touched many lives including me. I am sure that upon entering the heavenly gates Jesus said, "well done good and faithful servant". She will be forever in my heart. My thoughts and prayers will be with Shepherd Don her husband and her two sons, her mom and family and for God to strengthen, comfort and sustain them during their time of sorrow.

My deepest condolences beloved family. I was her student 15 years ago. She was a delightful, wonderful, and such a godly woman. I remember how she would greet me and her other students (with a side hug and two pats on our shoulder). She was so caring and thoughtful. She taught me so much in such little time. I will always keep her in my heart. May the Lord comfort you in the best way He can. Thank you for allowing us this space to share our moments with her. She will be missed greatly. God bless you, may He keep you comfort and peace in this hard time.

M. Hannah Kuper,

Thank you for what you’ve taught me. I remember clearly how dedicated you were to me learning English, and you accomplished it. I will never forget the day I left Baica, you were crying and wrote a biblical verse (Philippians 4:13) on a picture which you gave me. I still have it. Just wanted to let you know that I have great and clear memories of you. I am deeply fond of you. You will be forever missed.

Love,
Dani

There are not words that can describe the loss that the Kuper family must be feeling right now. Therefore, I want to take this moment to celebrate Hannah, her life and the person she was. She marked many lives with her kindness and diligence in pursuing growth. She saw the potential in others and was not afraid to encourage them to make that come alive. The first time we met was when I took over 2nd grade as she moved. As she prepared me for the class I could see the care and love that she had for her students. She went above and beyond to make sure that her students were well taken care of and to make sure they had the best learning experience possible. She was an example of devotion, diligence and love.

I was talking with another missionary where we both helped M. Hannah cook for guests in the Riyadh house 6 in the morning! She was on the dot and cooked something really remarkable! It was a baked almost like pasta w eggs... anyways... yes, it was really good! I love her unique laugh, it is one of a kind. I think she served us both, by inviting us for lunch. I remember her also saying that she had prayed for my dad when he was out in the missions, long ago. I know she is a hard worker and was told she had a longing for Argentina. Thank you Kuper family! You have blessed many, I know because I only hear good things.

When I was asked to describe Hannah in one word, "Christlike" was the word that came to mind. Hannah had a way of caring for others in a very genuine and unique way. There was always a glimpse of Jesus in her words and actions. Many times I would receive a Bible verse or a word of encouragement from her right out of the blue and they were, many times, an answer to prayer. We worked together, taught together, had coffee together, prayed for our children together and envisioned a school where the students would find Jesus together. She was a mentor and friend. I am saddened by her loss but encouraged because I know she is now in the arms of her beloved Shepherd.

I met Hannah when I was a freshman at the University of Toledo. Throughout my college years her spiritual influence strengthened my faith and inspired me to be a more compassionate person. She was a great listener, wise and intuitive, quick-witted and generous. Whenever I spoke to her, I felt like she really understood me, and I could always trust her advice. I will never forget the time when I had to stay up all night to finish a final paper. I became sick and called her to tell her I was too sick to finish. She came to my home with food, sat with me and prayed. It gave me the strength to finish the paper and turn it in on time. That was the kind of caring person she was. I later could do the same for others, because of Hannah's influence. She will be greatly missed, but her spiritual legacy lives on. Don, Paul and John, my heart goes out to you. God comfort you and give you peace.

Jim and I remember living a couple houses from Msns. Hannah and Don and family while they lived in Chicago. Every time we saw her, she had a smile and comforting greeting or word to share. She had genuine concern all the time. The memory is a sweet, comforting mother-like person always. She gave her heart to serve the flock of God while in Chicago. Also, Jim and I went to Argentina in 2006 to visit and serve in an orchestra. She & Don served us wholeheartedly with food and taking us many places. I will always remember her sacrificial spirit "Till we meet at Jesus' feet" in His kingdom. May God give deep comfort and strength to M. Don, Paul and John and extended family members.

Mro. Don, Paul y John. <3

Hannah Kuper frequently recited Psalm 23, “The LORD is my Shepherd…I shall not be in want”…By faith she experienced God’s timely provision in all things but the reality was too often different...In COVID-19 world she was in need of health, strength and freedom—until the last day…yet she chose to trust God and accepted simple and humble life with joy…Abundant silver and gold she did not have, but in the name of Jesus she made many walk..she helped others laugh..she supported the weak to be strong…She wiped out tears of those who were weeping in sorrow and planted the living hope to those in great distress…Her favorite Psalm 23 ends with this song of joy…”Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” We offer our prayer, “May Hannah find strength, rest, comfort, joy and glory in the house of the LORD forever.” In response, we feel hearing what she would say to us, “May the grace of our Lord be with you to the very end….”.

It was in 1980 we met her in Bowling Green, OH. Since then she and Don have been with us--many here in Toledo remember her dearly.. Clearly Hannah Kuper was a holy pilgrim—in obedience to God she constantly moved from one place to the next---Korea to Bowling Green, Toledo, Chicago, Akron (USA), Paraguay, Argentina, back to USA, Korea, China, USA, and then Argentina. Her heart was filled with her Savior and thus she accepted her call to be a missionary---the highest calling...Leaving behind routine path of worldly fame and recognition.. she chose to store her treasures in heaven...She gave herself to God and others...everything away to receive more than all things back.. She did not save for herself…She was highly gifted—rational and emotional, articulate and simple, compassionate and firm...she imparted her gifts of mindfulness and care to many.....

Now she is not with us.. She is with the LORD. We truly miss her..
We now say to her, “Good-bye”.. for a while…Sooner or later we will also depart her and join her there in glory.. Certainty, she went ahead of us and now prepares welcoming us to eternal home...

Dear M. Don, Paul and John, My heart aches as I learn of the passing of M. Hannah. I have such bright memories of the time I spent in Argentina, studying and participating in the ministry there. M. Hannah was like a mother to me in Argentina when I was away from home and she served us both physical and spiritual nourishment. I remember her constant hospitality, her embrace and mastery of Argentine cuisine, and her easy fluency in Spanish. I remember meeting her for Bible studies and morning devotionals even when she was so busy. I remember the lessons she was able to glean and pass on from God's word. I remember her devotion to her students and Bible students. She served with such grace and passion everything she did -- and made it look easy! I'm so thankful I got to know her. I treasure her memory. I am hopeful knowing we will meet again someday. My deepest condolences.

Hanna Kuper...!!!

What do I remember about my precious friend, Hannah? Her warmth and humanity. She had a genuine and fierce love for others. She was also a fierce lover of Jesus. Many of us as we age, fade in our commitment and passion to serve the Lord, but with Hannah, the older she got, the stronger her commitment and passion to love the Lord her God and others became. She never glossed over the cost of serving as a missionary. She and her family gave up a comfortable life in America to live as missionaries, but she never expressed regret. She had complete trust in God even in the hardships. I was inspired by her love for Christ and her commitment to her family and to his calling. She was faithful to the end. I count myself blessed to have known her and to witness her love for and faith in Jesus. Today, we grieve with you. May God give you, Don, Paul, and John, his comfort, peace and joy in the midst of sorrow. Immanuel!

Dear Hannah, when I first entered to work at Baica, many teachers spoke about you. I really wanted to meet you but you werent in Argentina any more so I contacted you via FB. You happily answered all my questios about leadership and teaching philosophies. Then, after a couple of years you came to visit Baica and looked for me around the school to take a picture with me! I will never forget that action. Then the Lord gave us the opportunity to work together and you have blessed my life in many many ways. I cant think of the elementary without you being there. I will miss you but im certain that i will see you again!

Whenever I met Hannah Kuper in the States and in Korea, I was so curious how she could be always like a school girl of pure hearts and a woman of spiritual warrior of brave hearts at the same time. Now I can see her secret that she has been all the times with her Great Shepherd, Jesus Christ. May our Lord Great Shepherd, Jesus embrace her with Your great love and smile in Your eternal Kingdom!
