Dean, So sorry for the loss of Dallas. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Your Cousin Marcy Morgan Grainger, Kevin Morgan and mom Dolores Morgan

Thanks Marcy, Kevin and Aunt Dolores. I cherish the times we used to come see y'all at Woodland Park! It's sad that we all got so separated. Della fought a good fight battling Alzheimer's for the last 15 years. She has peace of mind now.

Dear Price family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but I know that she is now out of pain and restored to health in the presence of our Lord and Savior. I met Della at Seven Oaks over 2 years ago and she blessed me everytime I was there with the Boyd Baptist church service. She loved to sing and she knew EVERY word, no book needed. She had the sweetest smile and was always so thankful to have me sit by her. If she wasn't in the lobby, we'd go to her room to ask if she wanted to go to church. She would sit right up and be ready to go in a second. She loved her family and spoke of her husband often. I loved hearing about her sports and choir history told to me by her brother. She was a wonderful lady with a sweet, sweet spirit and I will miss her. God bless you at this difficult time.

Thanks Michelle for the comforting thoughts. I remember her sitting with you and on a few occasions I got to hear y'all singing together. She loved to sing with y'all. Thanks for the memory.

Thanks Michelle for the wonderful thoughts. She loved you and always appreciated the cards you gave her and the time you spent with her. I only hope that I can live as good Christian life as she did. Once again we will blend our voices in that Heavenly Choir. She not only knew the words but practiced each and every one in her daily livilng. David

THE DASH IN DELLA'S LIFE
1942 - 2020
From beginning to end 1942 comes first. Her date of birth brought joy and cheers. Her final date of 2020 brought heartache and tears, but what matters most is the dash between those years. (1942 - 2020) For that dash represents all the time Della spent alive on earth...And now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth!

The Della Price I knew was beautiful inside and out. I remember the first time met her when she and Harold were dating and the impression she left. She was young, vibrant, full of energy, fun loving, beautiful and confident. She loved music, was a very talented singer and loved to dance. She and Harold would clear the dance floor when the music began because they were so graceful and fun to watch. Della never lost her love for song and dance and she and Harold enjoyed many joyful occasions with friends, dancing and singing. Della was a devout Christian who walked the walk, as they say. She had a beautiful personality and was quick to smile. Oh, what a smile, it brought light to the room. Loved that smile. Della was the epidemy of the work ethic, smart and quick to learn. She succeeded and excelled at every job she took-on. She and Harold were faced with obstacles, trials and tribulations that would have been the end for many but they were a team and faced each setback with renewed strength, stronger faith and unyielding determination to start anew and build back with something better for themselves and their family. Della had an inner strength that enabled her to keep going and motivate those around her to never quit. Her sons have this same quality. Della loved to travel, meet people, broaden her horizons and visit her relatives, spread all across the country. Karen and I got to show them the Sierra Foothills, where we live. We cherish the memories of hiking along the Yuba River, searching for gold flecks in the sand, smelling the flours, touring an actual Gold mine and witnessing an actual Blacksmith shop in operation, as it would have been in Gold Rush days. We visited Harold and Della numerous times over the years. She was the perfect Hostess, and wow, her good ole Country Cooking. She could turn most anything into a country gourmet meal. The last time I saw her was at Seven Oaks and even as her health was failing, she still had that beautiful smile and her beautiful personality. I will never forget that visit and her reaction upon our arrival. “Oh, Delton It’s soo good to see you”. Della, as you look down on us from Heaven, you were a bright spot in the life of everyone you touched. We will cherish your memory for all of time. Love You!

BROTHER DELTON, You jolted me into realising some things I had always taken for granted! Thank you for contributing to the permanent record, that I will read many times in days to come, of how blessed I was to have Della!

Delton: Della loved you and your wonderful wife. She thought the world of both of you. Thank you for the wonderful, wonderful words, thoughts, attributes, and wonderful blessings Della bestowed on all those she ever came in contact with. She is sorely missed but I only hope that I can pattern my life after hers and one day join our voices once again in that great Heavenly Choir. Thanks again.
All I can say is AMEN and let the tears flow... Thank you Uncle Delton and Aunt Karen!

Little known fact about Momma - she was very athletic and loved tennis and basketball. We would go up to the City (Bonham) and play tennis together and with Uncle David (and get our dose of mosquito spray from the truck). Here is her racket from when she went to State in school... She asked Dad to bring this up to the nursing home to hang on the wall.

I will so miss my good friend and neighbor Della Price. She was such a sweet friend and we would often visit out by the mailboxes or on the front porch to share life.
Della loved to share board puzzles (the really big and complicated ones). She could finish them in 2 to 3 days but it might take me 2 to 3 months !!
Yes she loved puzzles and Pass-along Plants among many other things.
We shared plants from our yards back and forth and it was such joy. Yes, I was honored to call Della my friend and sister in Christ. She will be greatly missed by all those in North Park Drive on Lake Bonham.
Sending love to the Price family today.
Ahh, the puzzles! We spent so much time together (and the grandkids) doing puzzles! I'll have to dig up some pictures when I get home!

If Della took to long on her daily walk and I began to worry, she was usually sitting on Your porch. She enjoyed that time Beth.

Della was the world's best puzzle maker, I do believe. I told her often that she should enter the Guinness Book of World Records because she was that good. She always said, "I just love doing it for others" and she did.

We all know that she is dancing and playing along with the Heavenly Spirits Band today as they celebrate her homecoming. I know that she is happy in the presence of her gracious Lord and Savior with memory intact and her full spirit restored. Now it's her turn to watch over Harold Dean for awhile.
God blessed those of us who knew her.
Dr. Froelich
Thank you Dr. Froelich for all the help you have been to Mom and Dad! Very well said, Mom is in the hands of the gracious loving savior Jesus Christ now. Praise God for his plan, the Spirit for his guidance, and the Son for the execution of that plan!

Jason: Your thoughts are very thoughtful and encouraging. Your mom spoke of you and your lovely family and could not have been more proud of you in all your accomplishment. God does have a plan for all of us and now he has taken a loving person in His arms. May God continue to bless you and your family, your dad, your brothers. and everyone that your mom had the privilege of knowing and loving.

Lynn, I must tell you the deep love for each other and the love of God displayed by the church there spilled over into our lives. We never left there without feeling that we were a part of God's family that serves the Lord there. I thank each and every one of you because I know I'm in your prayers!

To Della's friends and family,
We have had the pleasure of sharing precious time with Della at the nursing home.
I know I am going to miss singing and praising the Lord with her until we are reunited in the presence of the KING of kings and Lord of lords.
I consider it a blessed gift to be friends with her, Harold, David, and her friends and family that I got to meet.
I loved her company. Especially when she would sit close to David, near my wife, Belinda, and sing joyfully with us. Della was a ray of sunshine for us to see when we went to the nursing home to sing, pray, and proclaim God's word.
My love and compassion is difficult for me to express to each person that will also miss Della, but I am reminded of a hopeful time when we will be together again.
The hope we have is because of the faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
LOve,
Rusel Duke

Thank you Rusel and Belinda for your wonderful thoughts. My greatest loss during this epidemic has been the inability for Della and I to sing with all of her friends at the nursing home. Every day that I wake up, I am reminded of the wonderful songs that we sang with you.
"One day, and it may not be long, We will be gathered around that throne".

My mom Patsy is Dean’s cousin. I remember so many times my parents hanging with Dean and Della while my two sisters and I played with the boys - especially when we lived in Bonham which was until 1978 :) Whether it was at one of our houses, Burley’s, uncle Joe and aunt Sybil’s, or our mamaw Dovie and papa Earl’s house, there was lots of dominoes, singing, eating watermelon, and shenanigans. My mom and Della both wore the same size tiny shoe - a 5 - and would pass around shoes! What a sweet precious woman she was!
Dean - May God give you and the boys and family peace!
Much love - Gina Smith Oglesbee and family

Della has a way of loving people that was unconditional and sacrificial ❤️ I am so glad she now is close to Jesus but oh, how we will miss her.

Jason: So sorry to hear about your mom, my sister, loving mother and one of the finest Christian young ladies one will ever have met or will meet. I quote the Apostle Paul and know that these were the last words your mom would have spoken: "I have a fought a good fight, I have kept the faith, I have finished the course, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of Righteousness which the Lord the Righteous Judge shall give unto me that day". She lived that kind of life and now she is singing with that Heavenly Choir at this very hour.
Bless you and all your family. Love loads, Uncle David and Aunt Freda

Harold, Jason, and family: I grew up with Della. She was a classmate, Simpson cottage mate, Bel Canto choral mate and we both worked together at The Nursery when we were younger. Della was always a happy and caring individual. She was very talented. We enjoyed visiting with you all at the annual BH Dallas picnics. We will miss Della. Love, DJ

To Dj and Kathryn:
Thanks for the memories of years gone by with Della! The bond between the Boles Home kids was always amazing to me! I know you have heavy hearts too, but God's promises are great for those who are in Christ and finish the race. I'll be fine because my faith is anchored on God's promises to Della.

Della and I were cheerleaders together in addition to being in the alto section of the Bel Canto chorus and roommates on the tours. This meant we traveled the hot summers in a yellow school bus with our other chorus members, laughing and talking as crazy teenagers. I loved Della....precious person. Always looked forward to the summer alumni picnics and hearing her voice again in the reunion of choral members, and always wore a smile when she saw an exStudent. I smile when I think of her and the joy she brought into so many lives. Our loss is definitely Heaven's gain.

One of my wife and my best friends. I enjoyed playing music with Della and Dean onstage at That Country Music Place where they introduced me to an old instrument "bones" constructed of hardwood and lots of rhythm. Always a pleasure to be around, always in a good mood. Always smiling, that is how we'll remember our dear friend. We know the angels are now singing with a new instrument in the band! Prayers to all of the loved ones left behind. You will see her someday in heaven!

Boyd Della got more enjoyment from coming to the Country Music Place than anything we ever did together.
I'll never forget when we visited y'all over there and heard Mom sing and Dad and William (I think) got up on stage and played the bones! I think it was you that gave William a $5 bill and he was so proud! He had earned his first money gigging!
