David’s art work. Thank you to the person who saved his paint box and returned it to his family. I loved hearing that story during his Memorial this afternoon.

David John Lee is a man who gives so generously of himself to others. He is the best care provider for his girlfriend’s older brother who is a man with Down syndrome. Dave provides learning and fun experiences, electronics and education, cleans bathrooms and kitchen, does reams of laundry with special enzymes, supplies and foods, personal hygiene products and assistance, shaves and haircuts, head rubs, back rubs, driving tirelessly and so much more. Our Love for Dave is Greater
Dave’s cooking, loving nature and warmth have made him the heart of our family. We know where every holiday will be celebrated, within his loving arms. He is inclusive yet has a near genius IQ, dealing beautifully with the moderate-range handicapped youth he works with everyday in his capacity as special education teacher. He is a coach and a mentor. His dedication is above the most gifted teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure to know.

Always in Our Hearts
David John Lee:
Your heart has done its work. But you will always be in our hearts.
You have been in my heart all these years. Before you were born your heart beat through the doctor’s stethoscope.
Then, in my arms. Your first-born cries in my ears. You were in our home, a newborn child, in our hearts and in our hopes.
Growing fast, you were into everything! Catching my breath as I ran after you. You— “in my hair”, but always in my heart.
Off to school, you were in my thoughts, you in our eager expectations. Off to school doing so well, and always in our hearts.
In the ocean, on the playground, swimming, or baseball teams, with your friends, with your family, in our hearts… you grew so tall.
You, a teenager always in my worries. Off you’d go driving in my car! Always in my racing mind. Into to something... daring yourself and us. You, returning home, still in our home, still in our care. Happiness always in my heart.
Off to college, in our hopes, off you went into your future. Gone from our home, on your own, but sill, always in our hearts.
In your cap and gown. You, with your own ambitions, your achievements, and expectations. Always in our hearts.
Then off to find your love. Both of you found each other... in Target for heaven’s sakes! In her eyes, the eyes of your love, you were home. Off to a new home off to a new life with your own true love, but still always, in my heart.
In own your classroom working hard, working long and well. Students in your heart, lessons plans on your mind, working, hoping, heartfelt expectations for those around you.
In the lives of friends, family, colleagues, and students. Your heart helping, guiding, loving, smiling. Looking for the best in everything and finding the best in everyone.
Now we gather to share our stories of how your heart has touched us all. David, you are always in our hearts.

David had a gentleness about him. He was a great teacher to work for. He taught me a lot about staying positive and patient through out the day no matter how hard the day brings us. He will be surely missed
