What a great mom! She always had homemade salsa for me when I came home… even at Christmas.

Aunt Carol was such a lovely person. Every single memory I have of her is with her smiling. ❤️

My first memory of Aunt Carol is when she visited my family in Mt. Sinai, NY with Uncle Joe and baby Robbie. She had a warm smile and was very nice. She let me care for baby Robbie.

She and Uncle Joe did not want me to call them Aunt and Uncle they just wanted to be called “Carol and Joe”. She sign her notes to me "Carol and Joe". I told them I could never call them by their first name because it was disrespectful. So to me they were always “Aunt Carol and Uncle Joe”.

She always welcomed me when I visited them in San Diego. One time we were talking for so long she wanted me to stay another night because she was afraid I would fall asleep behind the wheel driving back home to the Bay Area. I told her I was an experience driver and I would have no problems driving.
She was right I fell asleep on the boring 5. Luckily someone invented and installed those round deflectors and I woke up to their rumble. I rolled down the window and turn up the music and stopped at the first place I could for coffee. I was surprised by my incompetence and near death. In the future, I remembered to follow Aunt Carol’s advice and never drove the 5 alone at night.

I have a beautiful thank you note and photos Aunt Carol sent me after they visited our house on Orebaugh Ave when Michael was an infant. She and Uncle Joe came to our second home on Winterberry Lane too. She traveled to attend Laura’s Bat Mitzvah and Michael’s Bar Mitzvah.

We enjoyed time with her when she visited with Robbie in DC. We would attend Ariana’s musical events together. Aunt Carol shared the same birthday as my mother in-law, who would also attend Ariana’s musical events. She greeted everyone with her warm smile, easy conversation and great laugh.

I will miss seeing her smile, Christmas letters and photos.
She loved her family, teaching and her dogs. Aunt Carol thank for all your love and kindness. May you rest in peace.
Love, Linda
