Forever in Our Hearts
Oscar Kofi Asare of Seton Village, New Mexico passed away in his sleep at the age of 70 surrounded by friend and family. Loved by many, Oscar will be remembered for his big laugh, bigger smile and his unending generosity. His son Juan, his daughter Jane and his two grandchildren survive Oscar. Oscar attended St. Michaels high school where he became a gifted football player, helping bring home two trophies as a senior. Born into a family with little money, Oscar and his parents often had to struggle. This always stayed with Oscar who went on to own his own chain of Laundromats in the Santa Fe area, donating money every year to the local food bank and even volunteering to feed the homeless. This was just one of the acts of generosity that made Oscar the wonderful man, father and husband that he was. After Oscar retired he stayed active by playing golf on weekdays and spending a lot of quality time with the jewels of his eyes, his two grandchildren, Michael and Violet. Oscar passed away in his childhood home, surrounded by a lifetime of memories and the product of all the joy he created. We will miss you so much dad.
