Billie Lou Reynolds

August 20th, 1933 - October 5th, 2021

Biography

Billie Lou Reynolds (1933-2021)
Billie went to rest in the loving arms of her Savior on October 5, 2021.
She was surrounded by her loved ones who encouraged her in prayer and song.
Her last uttered words were, “Yes Lord……Yes Lord”.
We can only imagine the reunion she is having in Heaven.

Beloved wife to her husband, Reverend Vance Reynolds for 69 years;
Precious mother to her 7 Children; and loving grandmother to 24 grandchildren,
27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
To Billie, her family was the jewel of her crown.
She loved and cherished them deeply and that love was returned exponentially.
Her smile lit up the room anytime her grand-babies were near.

Billie was born in the Rolling Hills of Amber, Oklahoma on Aug 20, 1933,
to Verona Scott and Leona Williams Scott.
She was 1 of 4 children. Siblings: Ruby, John, and Orbie.
They made their way from Oklahoma to California. It was in Madera, California
where she met Vance. After a brief courtship while attending a tent revival,
he asked her to marry him from the front row church pew.
They were married on Sept 6th, 1952.

Bright, funny, and beautiful, she was a very giving soul.
You knew you had a special place in Billie’s heart when
you were given one of her beautifully crafted birdhouses.
She filled our hearts with so much joy and laughter.

Billie had many talents that included singing, writing songs and poetry,
and playing the piano and accordion.  She used these talents to express her love for Jesus.
She also enjoyed puzzles, crafting, and playing games with her family and friends.
She was especially known for her dedication to ministry and her family.

Together with her husband Vance, they worked alongside each other in Northern California
where they pastored 14 different churches for the Assemblies of God, many of them Home Missions.
Thru-out their ministry years, Billie was very active in Women’s Ministries, Youth Ministries,
Speed the Light, Child Evangelism as well as choir and worship.
Event planning was especially exciting for Billie. She could find any reason to have a party.

Traveling was something she loved whether it was a Sunday afternoon drive or
an extended trip through all 50 states with her husband.
She was in awe of God's glorious works and creations.

Billie played a special role in the lives of her grandsons, Wesley Miller Jr and Scott Miller.
After losing her daughter and son-in-law in 1991, she took on the dual roles of grandma and mother.
She did an amazing job of finishing what her daughter had started and with unlimited love,
she made sure that they never doubted they had a home
where they were always welcomed and cared for.

Billie is survived by her husband: Reverend Vance Reynolds;
her children: Marilyn Allen and husband Mike, Ken Reynolds, Steve Reynolds,
Sharon Triplett and husband Pete, Janelle Lee and husband Russ, and Tim Reynolds and wife Pamela.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Miller and son-in-law, Wes Miller.

Loved and will miss Billie, we were friends before she married Vance , we went to all the CA rally’s and sang together, she was very special, we had lots of fun together as young girls, she was a special Sister-in-law for 66 years, I know Vance and children will miss her, but we have this hope, we will see her again.
