Joe published a comment I'm so glad we "connected" through this page, Susan. I can't believe I couldn't find an email address for you! (must be hiding somewhere...) She was proud of your journey in the Division office, and you two had a mutual respect that can be envied by most people. Thank you.

Tomas Reyes published a comment I had the opportunity to meet Louise in 2012 when I joined Fraser Health and had the privilege to be assigned to work and partner with the Surrey-North Delta Division of Family Practice. Louise was the Executive Director at that time and we worked really closely for a span of two years. I can only describe the experience as fantastic! Louise was a savvy and committed partner, she was a very strong and inspirational leader and overall, she was a wonderful human being. After working together in that capacity, I left FH and went to work for Doctors of BC and continued working with her from a different standpoint until she left the division, developing our professional relationship further, but also our personal one. I want to believe that Louise and I became good friends and we were in touch quite frequently via LinkedIn, e-mail, and phone until she moved to Chilliwack and announced she was formally retiring. In an interesting turn of events, after all these years I currently hold the role she built up from scratch for the SND Division as the ED of the organization. I have to confess it is my true honour and as Louise was an inspiration to me, it is a constant reminder about working hard and doing my best to "fill her shoes" and do as a great job as she did when she was the ED for this organization. I was quite saddened by learning that she passed away and I want to use this opportunity to offer (from a personal standpoint and on behalf of our organization), our most sincere condolences. Louise and all of you (her family) are in our prayers. She (and the difference she made in "our world of healthcare and community development in Surrey") will always be remembered. R.I.P.

Joe published a comment There are a number of things that "tickled Louise's fancy". Dancing was near the very top of the list. Although we were part of the studio for too short a time, as soon as a lesson was finished she was looking forward to the next one! We learned so much more than dancing, with you all. She took those memories with her, as I will also remember our times with you.

Hi Miki, and a big strong hug ‘round you,

|
Miki Hara published a comment Thank you <3 I've added the salon to the milestones. It was such an important space to explore life for her. I have loved seeing the joy in her face in all the photos the sisterhood has shared. It warms my heart to know that she has such wonderful people who loved her and "see" her. |

Kathy De Cecco published a comment I am sorry to read about Louise. I knew her when she moved to Cassiar. We worked together at RBC. We had such good times at work, a number of us used to get together and play cards. Joe, I recognize your name and also Lawrence's. May she soar with the Angels............

|
Joe published a comment Thanks, Kathy. Yup, good times there were! You and I didn't interact a whole lot, but I know all about you...sounds creepy... I think you babysat Miki at times, did you not? She seems to remember a table that was taller than her. I wonder if Rose still cheats at cards?

Micheline published a comment Omg Kathy!!! I had visited Casiar in 83, I believe. In was in September and I decided to give my sister a surprise party. You and I were in cahoots I believe. It was not a big to-do though I recall that there may have been too much tequila going around. She loved that place ♥️

Frances Carter published a comment Thanks to you, Joe for this lovely memorial for Louise. She was family to me as we all grew up in Wychwood Quebec through the 40's, 50's and 60's then made our way into the world. I recall many fun, musical days in her home where the family gathered and sang. Being with Louise and her family really gave me a sense of belonging in a special place.
