I worked with Annette in the management office for five years at Tyson’s Corner Center. Annette was a great friend & always was so positive & friendly. Annette will be greatly missed.

HELLO MY FRIEND, I AM GARY, I WAS THE FIRST PARAPLEGIC STUDENT AT WASHINGTON LEE HIGH SCHOOL. AS DENZEL WASHINGTON SAID A DREAM WITHOUT A GOAL IS JUST A DREAM". EVEN WITH MY DISABILITY I BECAME THE BEST STUDENT IN THE HIGH SCHOOL. MY FAVORITE SUBJECT WAS HISTORY, I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE AMERICAN LIFE AND THEIR PRESIDENTIAL LEADERS. AS JOHN F KENNEDY SAID DON'T ASK WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, INSTEAD OF YOU SHOULD ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY." MY DREAM WAS TO BECOME THE BOLIVIAN PRESIDENT AND DO SOMETHING FOR MY COUNTRY. AS BRIAN ADAMS SAID SEARCH INTO YOUR HEART AND WHEN YOU FIND ME THERE. YOU WILL KNOW IT'S TRUE." MY LOVE CRUSH WAS YOUNG GIRL NAME TARIA, SHE WAS IN MY GEOMETRY CLASS. TO BE PART OF THE WASHINGTON LEE WAS A GREAT PLEASURE BECAUSE I GAVE A 100 PERCENT OF MY SELF TO ACCOMPLISH MY GOALS. ANNETTE, I WISH OUR PATHS WOULD HAVE CROSS AND HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW YOU AS MY FRIEND.

There are no words to describe losing Annette. She was like a sister to me and was a Benabdi as much as an Ortuno. She and my sister Aysha were inseparable growing up and I always remember her as part of my childhood. I miss her dearly and my deepest condolences to her family. I remember her smile the most -would light up a room and a wonderful singing voice. She was the best to us and I am thankful she was part of our lives.

Asif published a comment I never got to see this. This was really beautiful. Such great memories from the days in Arlington VA. Its amazing to see how God brought so many people together for your wedding and how precious it was that Annette was able to sing at your wedding. I lost my father a year before your wedding and I know its hard to celebrate anniversaries when they come, so I will say a prayer for you and your family for this upcoming October8th. My dad passed on October 12th. God Bless you all as you take time to remember....

My deepest sympathies to your family. Annette was the kindest, friendliest and most beautiful girl at Yorktown. She was Homecoming Queen and beloved by our entire class. She was sincere, authentic and cared about everyone. She was one of those rare teenagers who never uttered a bad word about anyone or anything. Annette embodied goodness. I’m heartbroken she was taken from those who loved her so soon. Annette, Full of Grace, Love and Serenity, Rest In Peace.
