Kimberly Ring

Roger M. Ring, 88, passed at home in Mesa, AZ on June 13, after complications from a fall earlier this year. He passed peacefully with his devoted wife of 69 years, Lee, and his loving daughter Kimberly, by his side. He was born in Buffalo, New York on January 30, 1935 to Ethel and Fred Ring, both of whom predeceased him. He is also predeceased by his son, Michael, and his sister, Pat Gessner. He was a carpenter, a firefighter, started his own home construction company, and worked hard to provide for his family. He was active in community affairs coaching his three children in multiple sports, serving on the Boards of many athletic leagues, and as a Board Member and President of the Maryvale School Board in Cheektowaga, NY for many years. He and Lee moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1987 and lived there until they moved to Green Valley, Arizona in 1999. They moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2020 to be closer to their daughter Kimberly. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Uncle, dear friend and is survived by his loving spouse Lee, his daughter Kimberly and husband Matt, his son Tim and spouse Kathryn, his four grandchildren: Ali; Christina and her husband Jeff; Michael and his spouse Ashley; Rebecca and his great grandchild Benjamin Brunka (Christina and Jeff’s son). He’s also survived by loving sister-in-laws, Del and her husband Neil (who passed away in 2019) and Penny and her husband Tony; Roger’s nieces and nephews Guy, Eric, Gretchen and Gail (sister Pat); and nieces Cheryl and her daughter Maya, Lisa and her husband Dave and their children Amanda and Katie. The family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date. Memorial contributions if desired, can be made in Roger’s name to the Arizona Humane Society (https://www.azhumane.org/memorial-and-tribute-gifts/)
