I have looked for Mr. Enos many times over the years and am so sorry to learn of his passing. I have a particularly fond memory of him recommending that I work towards a degree in psychology vs occupational therapy, stating that I could do more than have people "pull marbles out of clay." Lol, that makes me laugh to this day, but an OT I am, as of 32 years now, and I still remember his kindness and support as I entered the program. He was remarkable. He gave me absolutely unconditional grace as a student, but also as a young person working to grow and move forward in life. He was very kind, and for that I have remembered him fondly over the years and wish I could have told him so. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Matt was the Vice President of the college at the time I was hired in 1979. He served as a kind of mentor to me from then until well past my own retirement in 2011 as our tight knit group of Mac aficionados continued to meet right up until the virus. When Matt retired he brought to my office a four drawer cabinet of neatly organized files involving our efforts to advance the art and science of teaching as altered by the arrival of the personal computer. Matt was fanatical when it came to form and organization. Oh, the hours we had spent discussing whether there should be spaces before and after a long hyphen, or whether a period was followed by one or two spaces. … What fond memories we will always hold of those days when teaching transitioned from paper and phone to computer and e-mail: The greatest advance in education since the blackboard or electricity. … I will miss Matt dearly; a charming, brilliant, and compassionate man. … My sincere condolences to his lovely wife Marci and the family. - Art DiVito

I have two childhood memories to share. When I was 10-12 years old Marci and Matt would visit us in Ypsilanti, Michigan for usually a summer visit. This was right in the middle of Little League baseball. I needed to throw and practice pitch/catch. Matt would always offer to spend time with me practicing. Even when I would it's time ally knock him over because I threw too hard. Matt never showed fear and always wanted to help me. My second topic to share was when I became a father to George Patrick. I had no clue what I was doing as a parent but, figured it out. Matt always gave me positive feedback when I would communicate with tiny George Patrick. Matt always liked how I sat down to George's level because I never wanted to tower over him. Matt used this parenting psychology and spoke about it to his college students. As a new parent, Matt always made me feel good. I will sign on today for a brief moment. In honor of Matt, I will have to sign off as I am coaching baseball and we are in the middle of a tournament this weekend. Love, George A.
